Hi Today Im at NABTA and were doing some 3D acrylic work with marbling. Ive already prepped the nail and applied a tip. Im going to do a base of clear, really really thin. Im going to cycle round my colours using very small beads, placing one on top of the other before pulling the brush through the colours to marble them. Ill add extra acrylic to any areas that are blank or are too much of one colour. Were going to do 3D next with high speed liquid. Ill pop down a tiny bead and move it onto a half-moon shape and press the bead out flat, repeat with different beads for different petals. Well do a leaf with a tadpole shaped bead and then push the sides out into a leaf. Im going to take medium speed and Devils Shadow and mix them together, Ill then use it to encapsulate with clear. Im then going to encapsulate fully with clear and normal monomer. Ill the pinch the nail and add my stones and finish with cuticle oil

Lovely nail I just love these classroom-style videos. It was absolutely AMAZING when you put the clear pink over the white roses I may have to give this a try, but I have clear pink strength powder, so I won't need to make pink monomer. I've been a little scared of 3-D so far, but I can try. What have I got to lose, really, but the tiny price of a couple of practice nails and a little acrylic powder and monomer? So, maybe five or ten cents? In other words, nothing I may use white hybrid gel to make the flowers because I can work hybrid gel as long as I need to, to get the shapes right. I'll do one petal until it's right, then cure, and continue that way until it looks like a rose. It will be slightly more expensive to use my precious hybrid gels, but it may work better since I am just starting to learn 3-D roses.

Hi Kirsty. I'm wondering if you find tiny nails more difficult to work on than 'normal' sized nails? I have really tiny nails and whenever I have had acrylic nails done at various different salons the contouring always look bumpy and uneven especially the cuticle area. I have tried filing them into a decent shape when I get home but never really get it right. I have given up going to salons and just apply glue on nails at home but find that I have to file down and shape the tiniest nail for my pinky finger and never seems to look right. Could you maybe do a set on someone with tiny hands and nails and maybe give some tips in the hope that I might go somewhere and they've watched you do it X

Whats going on with those lips, my goodness girl your so lovely without duck lips and I have to say if you look back on this later in life your going to say what was I thinking. Your starting to look like Chrissy Tiegan. Not good your way too good for that. Just a concerned viewer. Not to mention that those fillers are not completely safe. Your beautiful, dont ruin it.

Here in Boston, MA USA. no one pinches the nails. If I'm wrong. someone plz correct me that lives here. I'm willing to bet money. any technician you ask will say that takes too long. They're all about in and out. the more money they make. the better Same goes for the use of color acrylics. I WISH we could get this type of skill here

What colors of acrylic did you use for this marble along with the clear? My son is getting married tonight and the colors that you used match my dress. So I was thinking that I could redo my nails with these colors. ALSO. Can I encapsulate a colored acrylic nail with ACRYGEL. It's Clear Dear?

Amazing as always as you are. Question why at that Academy are you using the gel residue wipe off solution instead of the nail polish remover the I can't think any way the nail polish remover I'm just curious why you're not using that there

The the technical creativity you display in your videosDoes anyone know if there's a difference in using a slightly pigmented acrylic (for covering the flowers) versus adding pigment to the high-speed liquid?
