Hi everybody Im going to show you how to do a full set of french nails on my mum. Were keeping my mums natural length and were keeping then quite short at number 1 for my mum. Im going to start with the forms one hand. Ill dehydrate and prime the nails. Im going to start with the fingers first. Im going to start at the cuticle and apply my first bead of Natural Beige and create my smile line. Im following the curve of the natural smile line on my mums nail. Im then going to apply the white at the tip of the nail, walking it up to the smile line first and then shaping the nail into a tapered square. Im then going back in with natural beige to blend the colours together. Ill pinch the nail and only touch the sides and not the white. Ill remove the forms and then do the other hand before filing. Ill do my normal filing routine for the nails and topcoat the nails. Ill then finish with cuticle oil. I hope you liked this and dont forget to like and subscribe. Love KM xoxo

Oh, Kirsty Your mother is LOVELY Please bring her back I'd love to hear more about the Wedgwood factory, and your childhood I also LOVE how this French mani came out I'm not a fan of the whole extended nail bed thing. I don't like when the nail bed pink extends past the fingertip. I guess I just like my acrylic nails to look like they _could_ be my real nails, just without the ridiculous cuticle to tip arch that would wrap all the way around my fingertips if they were allowed to grow five or six centimeters long. A few of them also twist in a sort of corkscrew fashion. I only know this because I have worn acrylic overlays for years at a time without breaking them. I always feel sad when I have to cut them back because the curve and twist are just too much to look nice. Edited for clarity.

I don't like filing my nails either. For me, personally, it's a weird sensation that is almost painful, especially certain fingers. I have this weird nerve condition and that is why. It's nothing serious other than sometimes I have a lot of pain and it feels like I burned myself, therefore the fling just makes the pain that much worse. Is it possible your mom's fingers hurt from her years of pottery work? It was nice to see you work on your mom's nails, I painted my mom nails, dyed her hair and did her makeup too. Love doing that.

Great video, lovely to meet your mum My hands are identical to my mums too, and we sound exactly the same on the phone (although my mum doesn't swear as much as me) lol. Being born the same year as you I wonder if our mums are around the same age too? I wish I could convince my mum to let me do a set of acrylic nails on her, I'm still learning and not been qualified for long yet though, so maybe one day when I'm more accomplished she'll let me Lol. Great to see how well you get on, tfs xxx

Hi Kirsty's Mum Beautiful set; and they DO suit you. Lovely. My mother and I have very similar hands as well. But, my grandmother and I had/have identical hands, right down to our slightly crooked pinky fingers. She said it meant we're as dumb as foxes Thanks for the fun video. Hope to see more of you, Kirsty's Mum. It'd be great to see more ideas for women with mature hands.

Hi to your mom, Kirsty She sounds like a lovely lady. I can see where you get your loveliness from. Her nails are fabulousAdam, you've learned quite a bit, haven't you? I like how you've been involved, even when you're behind the camera, asking questions, making some suggestions, etc. You could probably do some nail sculpting yourself, with Kirsty guiding you.

I have short and fat nail beds. I cant seem to find a shape that suits my nails they just dont look right. How do you go about picking a shape. I also cant get nails to stay on very long especially the longer they area the less time they stay on. So is there a shape that is also shot but still flatter on wide nail beds.

So I think the reverse method looks much easier, but I once saw someone do a set of French using Pop Its and in those putting the white first and scooping out the smile line and then adding the pink and placing it worked beautifully, but obviously doing it in a little plastic thing and not on a hand is much easier.

Love the way is a little reserved with her mum there, a bit more hyper on other clients, lol, but it would be nice to see more of the people sat opp Kirsty, instead of just the voice, I know not everyone wants to be seen but maybe a few would. Great nails as always and the natural nails are gorgeous as well.

Kristy - Where has the Mega Gloss gone? I tried to order some today and it is not on the Naio Nails site anymore, Why? In fact a lot items were missing, including the Matte Top Coat. Why are all these things gone? Are they coming back? Or being replaced with something similar? Please explain.
