Kirsty, I am trying to find out if I can do a ACRYGEL nail, with a coloured acrylic design on top? And either encapsulate with Clear ACRYGEL or Clear Acrylic? I love your metallic green and pastel blue, granite style nail. The one with the Mylar pieces that are trimmed with purple and white paint? It's been up for about a year. I just keep looking at it and I really want to try it. There's also a Pink nail on one of the finger's on the same tutorial and I can't find a tutorial for it? I would love to attempt a set with those two designs. With a base of ACRYGEL, and encapsulate with Clear ACRYGEL or some clear acrylic. I am looking forward to your response. And I absolutely love your videos. You and Adam make a great team. And I have learned quite a lot from you. Your loyal fan, Mary Lusk

I had a nail split vertically, right down to the nail bed. Unusual for me, since my nails are normally really strong (I'm getting a blood test for anaemia) and I've NEVER had a vertical split before Trimmed it as far as I could but it was still going to catch on something. Since I have only ever done one set of gel extensions (just for fun, it was not easy but I managed to do a hard gel extension on it, with my non - dominant hand. It took a couple of attempts but I got there in the end Like you, I opted for a clear version. so that I could keep an eye on it. A week later and I trimmed it a bit, the natural nail is almost grown out. It has saved my natural nail, since it would have been torn otherwise

Please help me if you can Hon. I think I probably over filed several of my nails. First off they are very thin and so in removing my acrylic nails, a lot of my free edge end of my natural nails was torn off or just simply peeled away with the acrylic nail (I am a Very New Beginner at acrylics) so I probably don't know what I'm doing. I just watch and TRY to mimic. Anyway one of my natural nails is kinda tender (left hand/pointer) and there is a crack on the far left hand side of the nail from the free edge almost all the way to the cuticle (I have no idea HOW) AS I said my nail is REALLY thin. I have no idea WHY THEY ARE LIKE THIS. If you can possibly help me in any way. Please Help Thank You Love.

My Beautiful KM, from what you were saying recently I believe that you may have a condition that I also had while ago and took me long time to find the solution. Peeling of the finger tips, breaking of the nails and more problems can be cured by simple and cheap solution: Soaking for 15-30 minutes in 1: 1 mixture of pickling vinegar 7% and Hydrogen Peroxide, then moving to 15-30 minutes soak in warm water mixture with small cup of household bleach (same as public swimming pool. Perfect for hands and feet. Can be repeated even daily until healed or as needed. Used in sterilization reprocessing in hospitals safe for humans. May feel tingly or stingy at first but thats ok means it works: )

I highly doubt your gonna see this comment but I hope you do. I had this same thing happen and decided to build a nail with hard gel, a few days later I noticed the area where the nail had separated was turning green It freaked me out cuz I thought it was mold and immediately cut the enhancement off and cut off the part that was discolored. I did some research and from what I understand I think it was something called greenies which apparently is not mold but bacteria. I was wondering if you could do a video touching on this subject or could explain how to prevent that from happening, because now Im just plain nail-less and my broken nail is lookin a mess.

Hello Naio Nails Naiple (nail + people. blessings to all. Adam. was so nice to see you featured for a change. You are so very cute. far different from what I'd assigned to you in my minds eye. Glad you are back safe. It was fun watching your antics and visits. Kirsty. this is so timely as I had a nail weaken and pop off taking a big part of the natural nail with it. So thanks doll, you are a real nail -saver. Hugs to all. Oh, Kirsty when is your mom coming back? Sept 1st will be 25 years since my mom was murdered. if your mom could get her nails done around then. it's a great comfort watching her as they act much alike. Hugs to all from Richmond Va, USA.

Im a self taught (only my daughters, her 2 friends and my own nails) nail tech. Lets see. I was about 15 when I started teaching myself and Im a few months shy of 40. Doing my dominate nails with my non-dominate hand was the most unnatural feeling EVER I forced myself to continue using my non-dom hand like I used the dom hand. Seeing a PRO such as Kirstie struggle with the same thing makes me not feel so bad Truth be told, I think (maybe because I spend more time) I like the way the nails that I do with my non-dom hand look more Maybe Ill start experiment with doing a full set with my left hand I love all of your work

Almost a year ago 2 of my fingers got slammed in a truck bed tool box (it was an accident but I did not let my fiance live it down) and one nail was fine, it hurt, but was fine for the most part, my other finger seemed fine, but then a couple days later I found I had maybe a quarter of my nail bed attached. I did exactly what you are doing (with gel) and it helped it so much. I also know if I did not have the gel on it when it happened, I probably would not have a nail at all right now. Love your Kirsty

Hi Kirsty. I have psoriasis and my nails lift. So I cut the lifted piece off and do what you are doing. They are also paper thin and without my acrylics on it is sore doing everyday things. So I am pleased I am doing what the goddess of nails does. It also means I can put on my scuba gear without pain and dive for a whole fortnight without lifting using only Naio Nails supplies. Thanks for all your great tutorials I have learned so much
