Welcome back to my channel :) if you-re new here hit that SUBSCRIBE button and join our little community! Essjae: I love this so much! I have been seeing so many diet trends, especially during the beginning of quarantine, that really messed with my relationship with my body and with food. I thought I was being healthy by subscribing to these diet trends, but one day I had a 3 day long stomachache and was bloated the entire time. That-s when I realized that even though what I was eating and doing was deemed -healthy- by society, my body was rejecting it. That happened a few weeks ago, and ever since then, I-ve been trying to really listen to my body. It-s been both a learning and an unlearning process. Thank you for having this important conversation and for sharing it with us all!

I never really engaged in diet culture because I have always preferred homemade food in large portions. But I have seen friends of mine obsessed with their body image and using food as a mecanism of control when they were younger. And now that we are older they have really serious digestive illnesses, where they can barely hold anything inside, 4 times a week with diarrhea at least, very damaged intestines. So this social problem is horrible to people's lives now and in their future. I'm glad this is changing now. We don't want more victims.

This video is amazing and I really like her approach. Thank you Emily for doing it, if you do more videos about this topic I think is extremely helpful for a lot of people. Food is life and trying to follow the -rules- for -good- or -bad- food is exhausting. I noticed how it did the complete opposite to me that my attention actually went far away from truthly giving the attention and loving care to my body. Thank you both

What a lovely and informative conversation you ladies had! I loved all the topics you guys covered (from the habit loop, to sleep cycles) and the way you conveyed all the information in a clear, concise and casual way! Definitely learned so much about being more mindful around food and wellbeing overall from this episode, thanks so much again Emily and Marissa. Love from Malaysia -

You seem a nice girl, reasonable. Beautiful icy eyes -, good that there are videos on youtube that can pass us some knowledge, honestly I was never into any fashions, just ignored most of them so more less I have normal relathionship with food and myself, but not all have, so nice to unlearn some bad habits. Greetings, Aleksandra

Great video I'm going to send it to my parents who are diabetic. Thank you for taking a scientific approach. Btw I would like to give you cousin Raphael Di Donato a shout out. Since I used to work with him at the Anaimal Kingdom, he is pretty cool I miss now that he is no longer down here in Florida.

Thank you for this video! I found myself (mostly in those crazy times) that I crave chocolate and crunchy snacks, and I knew that on a deeper level was something emotional that kept me going back to unhealthy habits... this give me the info to close this chapter and to start a healthy new one.

Thank you so much ! I really enjoyed watching this video, it made sooo much sense and as a young adult focusing on what feels good and fighting against diet culture and what society has taught us. Thank you for using your powerful voice to create AMAZING things like this.

In China, I believe the longest ongoing study of nutrition by T Collin Campbell has been conducted for 60 years. His conclusion is that the more animal proteins the less long you live and the more degenerative diseases. Mainly dairy causes cancer.
