LUXURY PRODUCTS Not Worth the Hype

LUXURY PRODUCTS Not Worth the Hype

I'M PURGING luxury products that just didn't meet the hype. Calla Lily: Makeup is so much like relationships. lol It's true. I have eyeshadows I just can't let go of but it's never going to work out. Anyway, I have to say that Laura Mercier setting powder works well for me. I don't get a white cast but I'm ridiculously pale so it would take pure zinc to be noticeable. You do trip over your tongue more when you have your period. Not just you, personally, everyone does. I can't cite the study because I can't remember who did it. I read about it years ago. We trip over our tongues more, misspell words more, mistype letters on the keyboard more often. It's a slight dyslexic effect. This is not a slam on women - we get it done despite whatever else we're dealing with so yay us. I'm just saying there's a biological explanation.

I just wanted to give a shout out in favor of the La Mer micellar water. I was previously using Dr. Jart's Dermaclear Micro Water and frankly was very happy with it but decided to splurge on the La Mer during a Sephora promotion. I don't use it to remove all my makeup and I agree it's on the gentle side; however, I use it as a final cleansing step or during the day if I'm not wearing makeup and feel dirty, or after a workout for a quick refresher. It removes dirt so effectively and it leaves my complexion looking markedly better than it did after I used Dr. Jart's. My skin looks and feels calm and toned. I personally love it. Just ordered my second bottle.

i have often wondered, as someone who rifles through so many different products constantly, when you encounter products like the ones youve displayed in this video that you dont like, do you return them if you havent used a significant amount of the product? I know most drug store make up retailers will take them back, but i have never spent money on a product at sephora that i have wanted to return ( to your credit, the products i have bought from there were because you recommended them SO THANK YOU YOU ROCK) I would just feel bad if you werent able to return a lot of stuff. love you lots girly, thanks for being awesome

Tati you are so intelligent I feel like you are such an educated YouTuber and I trust every word that comes out of your mouth. You take your job so seriously and also carry yourself in such a mature manner But still manage to have such a sweet, likable and silly personality. I have never missed a review from you and your consistency with videos is so impressive. I don't think I've ever heard an excuse come out of your mouth and for that, I thank you You are so appreciated. I would be hundreds of dollars in makeup debt without you to help guide me in my makeup choices

I'm sorry I can't let go of Sulwhasoo I love them so much my skin has changed so much since I've used them. Please try the luxury Korean brands, they have much more of the good stuff that they say they have. Some French brands say that they have super expensive ingredients but they are gimmicky and there's like a micro drop in each jar. Estee Lauder, Cle De Peau, Chanel, Guerlain and Lancome all do this but at least they're good, unlike La Mer, La Prairie and Sisley. (Do you really think 24k gold is going to help your skin)

I love your videos and you are so pretty I feel like you're one of those lucky ladies that would be just as pretty without makeup as they are with it Also, I love Tatcha. The Camelia Cleansing Oil and Polished Enzyme are a part of my morning and night ritual (the enzyme only in the morning) and I was so on the fence about getting the Luminous Skin mist because it's so hyped up and I have dry skin every where else but in my tzone but now I feel like there are better options. Thank you so much

You think it's gonna be 'le good' tee hee. Tati, I love you, you are so cute. Try the Caudalie micellar water. It's the only one I've tried that is better than the Bioderma. Bioderma is awesome but leaves my skin feeling a little dry. Caudalie isn't too and feels so soft and moisturizing on the skin, but still feels just like water. No oil at all. And it gets off EVERYTHING. Tattoo liner, waterproof mascara, the Pat McGrath glitter lip, everything in one swipe with only 5 seconds on the lid.

Hmmm. interesting. An attractive and articulate woman telling the internet she is a conspicuous consumer with more money than common sense. Btw, as another female I really do NOT care about hearing how someone else's ovulatory cycle is having an effect on their ability to communicate. How idiotic can you be? Well. Offhand I would say This is a private matter. not something to tell the world about. Good grief. What a waste of time it has been watching this vid.

Happy to see Tati doesn't like the Charlotte Tilbury Magic foundation too. So many people loved it online, and for the price I was hoping it would be my new holy grail foundation. It doesn't cover my acne marks on my cheeks at all, and I look so shiny by the end of the day. I was wondering if it was just me and my way of applying, Charlotte makes it look so perfect on her acne video here on youtube

i thought i was the only one who didn't see the hype around the luminous dewy skin mist by tatcha. packaging is so cute, smells great but for me, i'm super dry and i had to spray like half the bottle on my face in order for me to feel like it was doing anything. mario badescu rose water spray is significantly cheaper, lasts forever and a little goes a long way
