video description
I am a Spring but can borrow from Fall without looking like death warmed over as both seasons are warm in nature - I just avoid the colours that are too dull or washed out, because Springs look best in bright, saturated hues.
It s cool to know what looks the MOST flattering but don t put yourself in an absolute box of I can only wear Soft Summer. I would just use it as a guide to avoid colours that won t flatter at all. For me, the absolute worst colour on me is a light, grey based purple.

Marshalls's is a type of discount department store. Further explanation from Wikipedia's department store page below.
Department stores can be classified in several ways:
Mainline department store or simply, the traditional department store, offering mid- to high-end goods, most or at least some of the time at the full retail price. Examples are Macy's, Bloomingdale's, J. C. Penney, Montgomery Ward, Sears and Belk.
Junior department store, a term used principally in the second part of the 20th century for a smaller version of a mainline department store. These were usually either independent stores, or chains such as Boston Store and Harris & Frank, which specialized in cosmetics and wearing apparel and accessories, with few home goods.
Discount department store, a large discount store selling apparel and home furnishings at a discount, either selling overstock from mainline department stores, or merchandise especially made for the discount department store market. Examples are Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off 5th, Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, and Kohl's.
Some sources may refer to the following types of stores as department stores, even though they are not generally considered as such:
Hypermarkets (discount superstores with full grocery offerings, such as Target, Walmart and Carrefour.
Variety stores, also known in the U. S. as five and dimes, or dollar stores.

I can't stand people that shop at these stores, other than myself of course. So many just treat the products as testers, sticking their dirty fingers in the shadows, lipsticks, using the glosses even! So gross. The other day, I went to buy a Mac Stack mascara, and thankfully I checked it because someone put a cheap one in the box and must have put the Mac in the cheap one's box. I'd actually be surprised if they make any profit off of the cosmetics. I was talking to one of the employees and she told me that they are not allowed to tell someone to not touch the makeup itself if they see them putting their fingers in it. They have to let them do it! That is garbage.

Tati- thank you for the video. You are probably the ONLY makeup influencer I trust. Yes, I am sure there are more good ones, I said only one I trust. I know if you approve it, its a good quality item: ) I am loving these videos of you shopping, showing us what gems you find out there. I am heading to Marshalls to see if I get lucky too. Would you consider doing a skin care video from Marshall and TJ Maxx? I see so many products that are reasonable in price and look good, but with skincare I am less daring. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thank you for keeping it real about financial struggles in your early years and how sometimes the cheaper options are actually the only options. I find it very humbling to remind myself of where I was and develop more gratefulness for where I am now, though I'm not a careless-wealthy person but progress must be recognized and appreciated. Wishing more people remember the difficult times in their lives to stay humble and empathetic towards those currently struggling!

Im so inspired thank you Tati.
Also if you want to try something better than primer for your pores, try either a good quality essence or serum.
Theres so many serums that are actually made to minimize large pores like dermellect in the red bottle for example.
Try to focus more on skincare than makeup application to make your skin look smooth.
Love you so much and i misss seeing James on your videos

My town has a TKMaxx (same as TJMaxx) and there's always so much good stuff in there, not just make up but clothing, homeware, the whole works. The make up in store can be hit or miss, especially if it's due to be restocked (people sure love making a mess lol) but now you can actually buy stuff from them online so you don't have to worry about whether or not it's had grubby fingers in it!

I hate it, but you definitely have to check the boxes at places at Marshall s. People will steal/destroy things and it sucks to come home and find out after you already brought it home.
And I don t think they would be surprised if you returned it saying things were missing, I m pretty sure it happens alll the time.

My Christmas present tip is that I save all the items that I m not going to use that I receive in my Ipsy bags throughout the year and the bags they come in to gift at Christmas. I make a little personalized makeup bags for each of my nieces. No matter their age they each love to get it each year.

I love how tati is giving so much credit to Jacklyn, when she is just the face of that brand. She has nothing to do with formulation. Maybe a little creative imput, but she was hands off. She admitted it on camera. But maybe tati doesn't know and is just trying to not get into drama.

This video really resonates with me. I LOVE it when I find high end make-up at Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Once found 5 tubes of MAC Velvet Teddy for 6 each! Talk about stocking stuffers. I have frequently purchased your highly praised Ole Henriksen. Bargain hunting gives me a shopper's high.

I saw this same PM pallet at my local Marshalls. I also saw a mini Star Wars 4 pan pallet along with lipsticks & blushes. Each store is hit & miss. You gotta br careful as SO MUCH was already opened & swatched.
I am a recent convert to those cotton pads & I cannot go back.

I love my tjmaxx makeup but yes you do have to go through and look because a lot of it is tampered with just by other customers. I did get a two faced chocolate bronzer there that I paid 10 for instead of the 36. I like it, I haven't gotten any adverse effect from using it.

I live about 45 minutes or more from everything so it's always an adventure when my husband and I go out to do things too lol. I haven't been to a Marshall's or TJ Maxx in a while. Back in RI we always had diddly squat for options. Might have to try out in this state

I wouldn't buy Jaclyn Cosmetics even in the TJ Maxx clearance section. She lied way too much and continues to lie about anything and everything and I'm not here for that. She hasn't said a word about that company that she claims to own in months.

I wish there was a Marshall's in my area. We have a Ross, but since it's a smaller town with not a ton of great retail, it sucks. Only once in a while u can find something good. Definitely not as good as this stuff!
