Just two adults gettin' a stew on, man I’m sad about the current upload schedule and losing the podcast, doubly sad about what it implies about Adams mental health. But I’m also glad that he’s recognizing a problem and taking the steps to help himself. He looks a bit less. harried in these recent videos. If you read this Adam please know that we all love you (insomuch as one can love a man they don’t know) and that we are all rooting for you. Get well, man

hi adam. just wanted to ask if you’ve tried experimenting with claypots and its effects on cooking. im mainly talking about glazed claypots as unglazed earthenware actually adds flavour (try making chicken soup with a chicken, a knob of smashed ginger, 6 smashed regular sized garlic cloves, a few sprigs of spring onion, couple dashes of fish sauce and salt to taste ofc) and most of the stuff ive found arent really based on convincing evidence. (its always the same kind of bs like - heat distribution, etc) started wondering because i see restaurants in australia make claypot rice but it feels like a gimmick at this point; ive achieved very similar results in a nonstick pot.

Adam! I miss your podcasts but it's nice to see you taking a break from the intense work schedule and enjoying yourself within reason while still getting shit done. Hope things are looking up for you. I am excited to see how your content develops now that you don't have to accommodate as much to the algorithm for survival. Your perspective and persona brings me comfort in this parasocial relationship which I know must still be strange to fathom for anyone but yeah, just wanna let you know I appreciate you.

It's early so maybe you'll see this, I went back to your Chicken Soup 101 video a couple days ago because it's a bit chilly here and I felt like making a huge pot of chicken soup, and realized that video ends with the iconic Baby, you got a stew goin'! quote. Touched my heart deeply in the days after hearing of his passing

Rest in Peace!
Also, I know it's potentially an overreaching and parasocial observation, but I love you and Lauren! I can feel your chemistry and mutual adoration through the screen, and it's so heartwarming
Here's to you, yours, and the many stews you have yet to get goin'

I've always pronounced Mauve like loave because that's how it's pronounced in French. (It's the French word for purple, fyi)
But the shade of pink you were discussing looked much more magenta to me regardless.
Loved the video, hope you keep experimenting with new formats.

As a millennial born in 92 who does not care for movies Arrested Development is quite literally the only exposure to Carl Wethers I have had. Such sad news, but always a pleasure to get to see the two of you on screen together. Thank you for this Adam and Lauren!

I don't remember if it was on SNL, Mad TV or what, but Carl Weathers did a sketch once about being governor. It was basically just him pointing out that he was in Predator, so obviously he should be governor of somewhere. He really sold the joke.

Man, the second that I saw that he had passed, the first thing that was out of my mouth was man, I'm gonna have to get a stew goin' in his honor! but I didn't follow through! Maybe with this video I can follow through!

One of my favourite things to do - especially a lamb stew (Im British, lamb is life) - is add pearl barley, enough to considerably thicken it. It's just like the porridge and rice lovechild everyone always wanted!

I always thought that Carl Weathers was a cool guy. I will admit to 'getting something in my eyes' when his character, Apollo Creed was killed. I loved him, and his wooden hand, in 'Happy Gilmore', too.

I am super sick right now, and this slightly unhinged video full of banter and love, made my morning great. This was a sweet and somehow intimate way of making a stew video, and I loved it.

I was doing this Showtime movie, Hot Ice with Anne Archer, never once touched my per diem. I'd go to Craft Service, get some raw veggies, bacon, Cup of Soup. baby, I got a stew going

Arrested Development has the best comedy writing of any show ever, it's not even close. No other show has even come close to doing what those writers managed to pull off.
reply

Hell yes! Knew you’d be an Arrested Development fan. RIP, Carl.
edit: as a native French speaker, it’s moh-ve just like how Lauren pronounced it, not maw-ve.

Ok, after that innuendo segment i just listened without watching the video. Thanks Adam, half the train is now staring at me wondering why I'm laughing my ass off
reply

. I do that with bones from ribs and lemon pepper wings.
I am shocked at how surprised Adam was that extras and actors have separate craft services tables.

Aside from the hilarious Freudian slips, I love the on-camera dynamic between you and Lauren (I love the Freudian slips too, but you seem hellbent on avoiding them)

A clever tribute and a fun video to watch. Always good to see a video where you and Lauren are having fun.
Baby you got a roux going got me. Nice one Lauren

reply

Man, you've got me loving this video just from the title! Arrested Development was one of my earlier introductions to Carl Weathers, and it was terrific.
