She said -Solta os cachorros- hahahaha it was a mention to a Brazilian TV presenter called Ana Maria Braga, that when she eats something very good on her program, she says -let the dogs out- it is not known where she invented it but it became a Brazilian expression. And in the end she sends a kiss to her family and to you, this also is a mention from the presenter Xuxa Meneguel, who had a program for children in the 80s, and all the children after participating in a game with her, saying goodbye said -A kiss for my mom, for my dad and for you Xuxa - lol Wonderfull I love that!

I think it-s funny that you would assume that this bread would have to originate in Europe. You do realize the Brazil had indigenous people on that land for hundreds of years before colonizers appeared. Not everything has to start in Europe and in fact many of the best recipes we have today originated elsewhere ( not in Europe. Js.

Hi guys. I have made this recipe twice and it turned out amazingly. I LOVE IT!
But then the next few times I tried, it's not turning right. After I wait for the dough to cool, I add the eggs and beat it, it doesn't turn smooth like it shows. It goes all lumpy. Please help me, I need my Brazilian pao de queijo!

I did it with 2 C and with 3 C, and it's so dry. There is something a miss! The butter, milk and oil were boiled, the flour was in the stand mixer with the salt. I put the mixer on low and carefully poured the milk mixture in and its dry. I measured 3 times and I don't know what is going wrong.

Someone might have already asked this before, but because I am not reading through the 200+ comments to double check, here is my question: What is the next best cheese I could use if I can't find Queijo Minas (besides Parmesan?

I don-t like the implication that because something similar exists in a European country this MUST be some -take- on that. Flat breads existed all around the world but the tortilla was not the Hispanic -take- on pita.

The recipe did not work for me. I wish the ingredients were in GRAMS. I used sweet tapioca and I had to use a little more tapioca to make it work but results were not that good. Will try again with different recipe.

Okay these are amaaazing! Yum! I did treak it a little. I added spices like cumin, rosemary, garlic and Adobo instead of salt. My 14 year old daughter fell in love with the balls. Thanks for the recipe.

I always thought using Parmesan sounded weird. I used a raw white cheddar and I was happy with that. I-ve also thought that Monterrey jack would taste lovely. I-m going to try your recipe next!
