I do not have any personal issues with Nick. Hes obviously knowledgeable and has learned his craft. Listening to his interviews, he guides more than ask. Its almost if the interview part is worthless because Nick is guiding the interviewee what to say with affirmation. I still appreciate the series. I think Nick should sit down and really review the videos hes taking part in. Let the Chefs guide the conversation and let them tell you about their food and experiences instead of him saying so much. Let your knowledge speak during the tasting. Just my thought.

Roasted pig skin is a very traditional Chinese street food. They sold cheap because this is usually the unwanted parts from pigs. The crispy skin are usually thoroughly washed again then put in skew with other low end food like pig blood and served with spicy flavour. They are known to be rich for collagens and are very popular food on streets.

Once you have taken everything especially the fat off of it then what's the use of chicharon? The fat is the point of eating it. You just fancied it up to charge a ridiculous amount of money out of it. I'd rather eat it the way we cook it. Thanks.

Save your money and just go to the Chicago location. The service was godawful in NYC - while the chicharron and drinks were great, it shouldn't take 20 minutes for a server to tell us they are sold out of something. Nice view, though.

lol all these videos are the same now. Cookie cutter hipsters, sleeve tattoos, rolled up pants, trying to use big words to impress people and cooking food that is completely ridiculous and overpriced.

Chicharron and fancy are two things that shouldn't go together. Chicharron is meant to be cheap and filling not to take a modern twist of it whatever that means.

Yeah he's sounds pretty pretentious. it's hard to listen to him. But the food looks good though. its the positive thing I can say about this show.
