Our Philadelphia season of Dining on a Dime continues to make its way through the South Philly neighborhood -- heading to the historic 9th Street Curb Market, traditionally known as the Italian Market. This week, host Lucas Peterson heads over to Anastasi Seafood to get a true taste of South Philly from a family thats been peddling fish going back four generations

Those are some massive mussels. Yikes. I've been to Philadelphia only twice but never checked out 9th Street Market unfortunately even though I was within a block. Looks awesome. Another excellent Lucas episode. Oh and shot at 0: 03 of red shirt gent studying the menu was random.

If there is one down side to watching this show it is the fact that afterward you get hit with a major craving for whatever it if you just watched. The chowder and the mussels and linguine looked sooooooooooo good!

For those wondering, the area is not always that crowded. This was probably shot during one of our Night Markets where the streets are blocked off and vendors setup stands to sell food, drinks, etc.

Season 12 - awesome. Crazy cat sweat shirt. Only dudes like this can kick that cat shirt. Lucas is a pro. kept that eye contact with the waitress. I would been locked in on that cleavage.

Looks like you went during the Night Market or another festival. It usually isn't as packed. I go there all the time. Cheap produce and a good sausage place nearby.

Duh Janet! We all start as a kid! Is what I would like to say, but she seems way too sweet to yell at. Unless it's too loud and I gotta place an order.

Way cool! Some extremely valid points! I appreciate you writing this video and the rest of the video is also really good related to Philadelphia.
