I don t want to cause controversy but couldn t they find a level 1 chef who didn t practice the recipe last night?
It didn t have to be an Indian person, just someone who made the recipe in a basic way on a regular basis.
Edit: Nothing against Steven, because he s always entertaining but.

I feel like many commenters forget that biryani isn't exclusive to India. The level 2 chef stated that she was Bengali and they have seafood biryani. There are so many ignorant comments that addressing them all would be impossible. People need to do the research and stop being ignorant fools.

i hope epicurious gets the clue not to do more indian dishes and even if it does would prefer yall only bring palak and lvl 2 chef.
tht lvl 3 is deadass. if lvl 3 chef's biryani(pronounce it correctly) was a biryani then tikki is a veg kebab

How is this a Biryani. I agree there we many types of it. but never seen such bad cooking of it. level 2 chef had a few steps closer to an actual Biryani. and the expert who summarized it had useless information for Biryani.

Level 2 is authentic guys. India is a big country, and also isn't the only country in South Asia that makes biryani. There's more than one way to make it. Don't know what the other 2 were doing though.

I would only call what the level 2 chef made biryani but it's still a little unusual with the shrimp. The level 3 didn't use rice and I don't even know what it was the level 1 chef made

I guess biriyani will kill itself if happened to be a person. such a disgrace to Biriyani. butchered the recipe. O now feel how Italian feel when pasta or pizza is butchered by others
