When you get to a certain age, you think youve seen it all, and this is particularly true when it comes to egg recipes. What can you possibly do with eggs that you havent already done many times over? Well, these Turkish eggs, thats what Yordan Krekmanski: This is Bulgarian Yoghurt is Bulgarian and whoever disputes this can simply see the name of the bacteria that is responsible for making yoghurt out of milk. Anyway - It's one of the very best traditional recepies and it's called Eggs a la Panagjurishte - from the same town where one of the most beautiful treasures in the world was found.

I must make this since I didn't have it when I was in Turkey. I'd of certainly remember this, YUM I do remember the Turkish Ice Cream though. Chef John, please make Turkish Ice Cream because it's the very best and no one makes it anywhere in the bay area where I live.

The best brand of yogurt for this that's widely available in America is called Erivan Ironically, it is much closer to Turkish yogurt than Chobani Greek yogurt, being a bit thinner and much more tart. Thank you for sharing one of my favorite recipes

My mom(who's Turkish) made this to me this morning A bit of info, the difference between turkish yogurt and greek is that turkish is a bit more watery and a bit more sour. I've found that you can achieve that with little salt and water.

Very beautiful. I had many Turkish friends in Germany and when we got together, they always brought the most beautiful and delicious food with them. Often so simple, yet so very tasty. I have to try this dish this weekend.

Oh btw I much prefer this as a main dish comfort food. Because its simple and easy and delicious of course. I could just eat this with strong garlic aroma and just lay down and enjoy rest of my evening.

Never would have thought of that recipe in a million years So brilliant Don't mind the breakfast: I would have this for dinner with some Persian rice on the side Just typing it makes me crave for it now

First thing you've ever done John that looks unappealing to me. __Plus, Turkey is kind on my scat list right now but that did not influence my thoughts on the dish. __Still love your site though.
