This was just what I'd been looking for. I had one of these crunchy bowls with shrimps, grits, and gouda cheese. MMMMM that was delicious. I wanted to make my own take on it and didn't know who to make the shell. I have 2 baking type bowls that looks just like the bowls here. Except, the technique may be shorter if I pressed them in the bowls and just throw them in the oven. Well thanks for this video. I have a little homework to do here now. lol

Mm-mmm, my only objection is, for some reason, I don't want to call that a burrito basket. Somehow, it doesn't seem like a small burro, although it is sufficiently basket-like. ;) -- Hmm, burro's saddlebags would be deeper and rectangular (sort of. -- But I want to look at that chicken Tinga recipe again and get the ingredients. -- Basket burrito, chicken Tinga, nachos, guacamole. nothing to object to here Mm-mmm Good stuff.

Have you done (or thought of doing) a video about different pasta noodles and when to use them or interchange them? I was just making your rigatoni al segreto and realized two things: I've never used rigatoni before and I have no idea why any noodle would be better for a given dish/sauce. So, why is the al segreto sauce good for rigatoni as opposed to penne or angel hair?

awesome technique I'm actually a culinary student at the moment, but aside from that it's getting kind of cold down where i live and i have been craving a nice warm funnel cake but any recipe i try is just no good so if you could make a kickass funnel cake recipe that would be awesome

Thanks for the very helpful tips. Been wanting to make some taco salad but no way to deep fry a tortilla. Tortilla bowl is now less greasy which translates to healthier bowl than the usual oily ones. And plus, there should be more oomph to its crunchiness by baking it.

Kids these days don't even know who Glenn Miller was, I betYou obviously need to use what they now call heavy duty foil for this, but which used to be just regular old foil, before that really flimsy thin stuff they now tell us is regular foil became standard.

I tried this with the giant tortillas and I couldn't get them to crisp up at all or hold their shape after removing the bowls. They were a big old soggy mess. Maybe works better with the small ones. Going to go the fry in oil route.

Summary: Cook. damn, didn't work. cook more. damn, didn't work. cook more. damn, didn't work. cook more. See below: Fry a corn tortilla for 10 seconds a side and pretend it's a bowl. The precursor chicken recipe was awesome.

I just put the tortilla in the microwave to make them soft and foldable, then place them over the ramekin and fold them, while still warm, around the ramekin and then I bake them upside down on the ramekin for 7 - 8 minutes, and done.

This looks amazing I've done some similar things, but not like this. On another note, can you do a video on taquitos? I've tried before, but I'm betting you can come up with a better recipe/method. There are not many good videos or there.
