I think that some people get it into their heads that you tip on the bill, so if you get something for free, you dont tip. More commonly, its people who get a discount or use gift cards, and dont tip on the full amount. When you do that, you COST the server money That server still has to tip out the busboy, the bartender, etc. Thats money out of their own pockets. They paid for you to eat free. That is not ok.
