tracy kelley Wherever the comment is in here (YouTube is bad with comments. Gordon Ramsay is British. Scotland is a part of Great Britain making all people who are Scottish British as well. He isnt English as English people come from England, which is a different part of Great Britain.

Yeah you took me back to my 6 year old self too, the Dutch call this: wentelteefjes There lovely with a nice jam or hazelnut pasta or just some poured sugar, or what we call stroop. Aldo we trow a lot less sugar in the mix and no caramel apples but i am gone try this asp.

i made the dish as per the video, and quite liked it. but i think ill peel them next time a bit of acidic and sourness came along with the skins, and it didnt go well with the soft, chewy sweet stewed apple flesh IMO. Thanks for the hearty breakfast Mr Ramsay

As a french, i didnt know this was a popular recipe. We name it Pain perdu, which translate to lost bread because this old recipe was initially a way to eat the leftover bread that has turned dry. In my family, we used to eat this with vanilla ice cream.

My mom was Irish/English. I grew up eating eggy bread. She used texas toast or slices of Italian bread and topped with either cooked apples or fresh sliced strawberries that had sat with sugar on them. Your right. it makes a quick breakfast thats good.

That is French Toast Perhaps the French call it something else but its easier to say our way And Eggy Bread is just a terrible name I never had it with the apple syrup but that seems better than the maple syrup I was taught to use.

eggy bread and french toast are not quite the same Iggy bread has more of an eggy texture on the bread and french toast is more soft delicate and moist. Im not even a formally trained cook and I can see the difference between the two.
