So 8 months at the tax payers expence (approx 40, 000, for a 50 theft from a corporate organisation, Sainsburys. Forgive me for saying this, but where is the public interest in sending these people away for so long? What does it achieve. Appreciate they broke the law, but surely unless there are agravating elements to the theft, the penalty could be community service and/or a fine, costing the tax payer a lot less money. By the way 4 weeks rehab is approximately 5000. If we spent as much helping addicts as we do sticking them behind bars, we would probably have fewer addicts and perhaps even save some lives.

Pisses me off things like this. Worked hard all my life in the food industry to work up as a Chef and within other areas of the culinary industry and never committed a crime in my life. Theres plenty more above me out there so Im not blowing my own trumpet. But like many, I would give anything for an hour in a kitchen with Gordon Ramsay and will probably never even meet the guy. yet convicted inmates are straight in for a trial on their release. Its a nice gesture but a bit misplaced personally. Love Gordon Ramsay and everything he has done. except this Prison series.

going into cheffing to avoid drugs is the dumbest shit ive ever heard. the industry is stressful not very professional and theres drugs everywhere. my first year i moved to multiple restaurants the first one the head chef was a nutter because he sucked on n20 (cream bulbs) in the cold room 24/7 the next place i worked at everyone was smoking ice so they could stay concentrated and keep up with orders. if peer pressure doesnt get you the stress and nature of the job will.

Rock on, Gordon Here in the U. S. our institutions have been largely privatized, which means that theyre making a profit from those they incarcerate. Naturally, this financial incentive scheme leads to corporations lobbying for more draconian laws with longer sentences. Theres a fundamental flaw in that philosophy and its nice to see you making a difference in peoples lives.

I think its time we in the UK and in the US adopt the Danish system of handling a drug problem. In Denmark hardcore drugs are legal but they are available through health care professionals so that addicts are slowly and carefully weaned off. I wasnt aware heroin is a huge crisis in the UK as well. I also say stop going after the dealers and start going after the shippers who import it.

Paul got the job, but was fired because he didnt stay clean sadly. I feel for Gordon big time, he mentions his brother Ronnie, but didnt go into any detail here about the constant heartache hes in over his brothers addictions. Anytime drug addiction comes up, things get very real with Gordon, and he really really wants to help.

The urge to do Heroin is always there. Everyone relapses with that shit. Ive seen it time and time, its impossible to get off it. I literally have no friends left because they all does from overdosing in heroin. I was always terrified of how powerful it would be so I never did it.
