Gordon Ramsay Makes a Curry in a Hurry Next Level Kitchen Looks a great and easy to follow recipe. I am a Yorkshire man and I live in Thailand and have lived here for 10yrs. I follow 'backyard chef' and his recipes, he is is a Yorkshire man living in Thailand. I will be using your recipe as it has more depth with the cooking methods and the end produce is mouth watering. I am looking forward to make this in Thailand. I have watched all your kitchen nightmare programes and showed my Thai wife how a clean kitchen should look like.

Love the quick recipe but not a fan of the random few shots of India to create a sense of authenticity. Seeing that how Butter Chicken isn't a dish created by the poor, and the shot with farmers was hilarious. Editors, time to do a better job depicting India. I'm sure he visited a few chefs to understand how this dish is made!
Butter Chicken was invented by high end restaurants and chefs, and was a food for the elite back then. Even today its not a staple that's enjoyed daily at home, but more of a once in a time thing due to the high content of cream and butter used. I'm sure Gordon didn't have to go to the rural India to figure out this recipe for Butter Chicken.

I guess for a weeknight it be good, but it really needs to marinate longer to develop the flavors and tenderize the meat. Kudos for not leaving out most of the spices like a lot of express recipes. It’s weird to me to have spicy peppers in this dish, but add whatever you like. One speed tip I learned is to use cashew butter instead of soaking and grinding the raw cashews. Or leave them out, like Ramsay does. He clearly doesn’t do his own dishes, though.

there is no way the chicken got cooked through till the center within 10mins of going into the pan, Yes I know this is a show but please for others watching this give the chicken more time to cook. Also, pouring in what is about 3 tablespoons of Garam masala is gonna make the dish HOT i. e very Garam, beyond most people's heat tolerance, so go easy on the Garam masala

this is really entertaining, the only hurrying I'm witnessing watching this, is him running around smacking things with spoons or hitting it with a knife. if i cooked like this where i live, i'd never hear the end of it, my parents would have me downstairs and sleeping in the same room with the dog, like i was a child again.

_There is literally no way! Literally! _ Way too much cayenne and way too much cumin. Way too much turmeric. Sorry but em, I cook with these spices and if I added that much to anything I was cooking the meal would ruined, _LITERALLY_ ruined. So, I'm not buying this recipe and in 15 min No way! _Literally_ NO WAY!

I was stuck the whole time on how he never washed his hands after handling the raw chicken. He just wiped his hands on a rag and moved on. I know that's how it goes in TV cooking--it's more for show/demonstration for the recipe, less for consumption by the masses. Still sets the alarm off in my head. lol.

I understand this was a curry in a hurry. But having watched him experienced butter chicken in India I would rather see him take his time and do it the way it was done there and by the way you forgot the cream Gordon it was sitting right there in front of you

Love Gordon but come on you are a professional chef No hand washing touching raw chicken and all the spice canisters, Then chopping coriander for garnish on the board Don't do this at home Food poison from chicken is very bad and painful and dangerous.
reply

Does he wash his hands and change his cutting board The raw chicken then the cilantro for the top later on the same board. I sure love watching Gordon cook! Thanks for the recipe. I'd love to make it I am sure it tastes amazing!

Hey Gordon, I’m a huge fan. I’m Indian, and pretty impressed by this recipe. I can tell you really took the time to learn the recipe and style of cooking. Nice job, looking forward to more. Would love to see a daal chawal next
reply

Sure, easy to say it took 15 minutes when some prep has been done ahead of time like peeling garlic, onion and ginger. When you start with your mise en place already done, of course it’s quick! That said, it does look good.

Wow. Just wow. You literally said literally literally every other sentence lol. I mean literally! Literally 3 times in the last like, 20 seconds or so. What's KAY ANN Where do I get yawgert: P Love you mate but damn lol.

Looks delicious. I wish Gordon would cook a little more healthy though. So much salt, butter, and cream. I know it makes it taste great but I can't eat that way anymore as I have entered my sixties.

I’m watch these videos to learn I am not a chef but I can say with confidence I cook better each time. Thank you for making the videos. Without which I would still be making really awful eggs.

Oh Dear Gordon, this is some bloody chicken curry but for sure not butter chicken. This is not butter chicken. Please stop insulting traditional recipes. Learn for God sake.

I’m going to try this sometime in the next week or so. I will marinade the chicken overnight since I won’t be in a rush and I’ll report back after I do. It looks good though.
