When will Gordon learn that for most Americans, decent restaurants using top-quality healthy ingredients made fresh in-house are essentially non-existent at any price. Restaurants in the U. S. use canned and frozen ingredients from Sysco and their motto is Use Cheap Fake Ingredients to Maximize Profits. That's why they're all going out of business. I would eat out twice a week if we had ONE GOOD restaurant within 30 minutes of where I live.

Gordon says hummus is swimming in oil that isn't even olive oil and the sweet and sour cauliflower tastes soggy and old also the samosas taste old, despite being claimed as fresh, and the chef admits they were made days before. The tandoori prawns and chicken tikka are suspiciously bright due to food coloring, and a lack of flavor, and taste like frozen prawns. The biryani is not layered correctly either

I think Gordon goes into alot of these restraunts with Michelin star brain. Most of these places aren't aiming to be gourmet. You can't expect a dying business to source fresh, local ingredients. I'd be perfectly happy with those portion sizes in the second clip. At least I know I'm getting my money's worth.

It's always so painful to watch when proper servers/waiters have to stand between Gordon's critique and the kitchen's incompetence. I so appreciate that Gordon understands that and never shoots the messenger, even when pompous chefs do their gimmicks like that shtty one with the business card.

This shit is so weird. A Michelin start chef critiquing some random bar or diner. What do you expect I’m sure majority of the customers don’t have any issues with the food.

All fried in toxic seed oils. thanks no thanks. BTW - even in so-called fine dining establishments, restaurants use bottled toxic soy bean oil Caesar Dressing but you're led to believe it's olive oil. Eating out in the U. S. is a health risk all the way around.

For me, I have a very low ability to eat normal meal sizes, so I always need a take away box, but yeah if I can take my food home and feed myself a few more meals, it's too much. >. < Those looked to be that level of too much.
