Jamie Oliver's food teamster Georgie Socratous talks through the basics of cooking with herbs. See loads of herb recipes at www. JamieOliver. com. Nyyppis: Would be a good idea to put the name of the herbs on the screen so it's easier to search for translation: ) It's a bit hard to hear how each herb is spelled. My English is not so good and also I've never heard most of those herbs in English (only in my local language. BTW Can FoodTube create a tutorial video on a hanging system (or a windowsill system) to grow herbs? I don't have a balcony so that's why I'm looking for a window based solution: ) How to treat, water or fertilize herbs properly?

NONE of this exists in Czech cuisine. This country is so dull and boring i absolutely regret living here for 15 years. Originally from Armenia, food there is on absolutely different level. i miss herbs. You cant get herbs here, if you get some, they were created in Green Houses, never saw sunlight hence they dont smell or taste anything like the natural ones.

Well I live in austria, loads of our food is inspired by Czech food, or was taken over here from czech people. I guess yeah, most of it is comfy food that doesnt really use much herbs, but a lot of slow cooking to get a flavour out of things. I never really saw my mum do it much, only for specific dishes. But why don't you plant some yourself?

Every herbs goes well with salad, depend on how you prepare them. Woody herb can be fried with olive oil, add a little bit of vinegar, salt, pepper and you have a warm dressing for a salad. Soft herb can add to the salad leaf and eat it whole.

Thank you for this awesome instructional video. Lots of great tips. I love that they are all fresh specimens. It's like the kitchen it's overrun with green, like you brought your herb garden inside. Brilliant

My grandmother used to make me drink the oil of fried oregano when I had a strong cough. I worked like charm. I love the smell of it also. That and rosemary are probable my favorite herbs.

Is there much difference between Russian and French tarragon? I'm growing some Russian tarragon, but when mentioned in many recipes it's French tarragon that's specified.
