Even the tide coming in can t stop Bart creating a fishy masterpiece! Plump langoustine fried in a light crispy batter with chunky homemade chips and a quick and delicious tartare sauce. Better than anything you d get down the pub and unlike Bart you don t have to go out to sea to make it! To catch more of Bart s incredible recipes

Cool, I can't wait to tell my Europhobic racist twat uncle that his favourite meal of Scampi comes from Italy. I love moments like that, it's satisfying, rather like taking a smug lump hammer to a sheet of glass. The only time ever peel potatoes now is when making a smooth mash. When it comes to chips or roast potatoes I just don't see the point in removing the skins. It always makes them crunchier and crisp if you do it right (ruffling. Like potato crackling. P. s don't drown.

Fish and chips if I got a good dish and chips, it is kind of my default dish. It is the crisp of the batter. The first thing is the presentation, if it comes to me and it, it is a nice golden batter, the back of my knife, a bit hollow, it is crispy and when I crunch thought it, I see the escape of stream, I smell the fish, I see the flake, flaky flesh.

On the beaches of England we don't have Daniel Craig strutting out of the sea in his trucks and muscular body, oh no, we have Bart van Olphen, wading out, holding up a plate of scami and chips with tartar sauce and a blob of ketchup. That'll do me just fine!

Love scampi and am thrilled to see you cooking in bare feet on the beach with it! Love the tartar sauce rendition too. Great to see you are saving the heads, legs and bodies of the scampi. I could make an awesome bisque with that. Awesome video Bart!

I absolutely love to deep fry shellfish, thanks to you Bart. It's just a shame the larger shrimps are so damn expensive here in Denmark. How would you deep fry the smaller shrimps? they'd be overcooked before the batter is crispy right?

nice one bart, showing the utter disdain people in the Netherlands have for the sea: 'oh, let me stand around with a pot of boiling hot oil in the middle of the tide, what could go wrong? ' scampis zien er moeilijk lekker uit tho.

That was actually stressful to watch. The cooking table was super sketchy already, and by the time he wrapped up the water was at his knees. This one should have been stopped before completion just for common sense safety.

I miss Zeeland, one of the nicest places on earth imo. But dude, your feet must be so cold. can you make something with 'grijze garnalen'? (other than tomates crevettes) Greetings from Belgium.

I had scampi and chips whenever I had the chance when I was in the UK. I absolutely love it! I can't seem to find scampi where I live, but it was fun watching your video. Hope the water wasn't cold.

I don't see the point of the sea, you could have done this from a kitchen. I get the impression that your dish is not exciting and you are trying to make it exciting by cooking it on the tide.
