One of the FEW vegetarian/vegan/whole food plant based locations IN Bangkok, where finding something without meat or eggs, and heaven forbid oil, is near impossible among too of the Westerners and hippy wannabees on a quest for authentic imitation Western junk food and pizza and (than in Amsterdam) where a Big Mac starts out at 8+USD and goes to 10+ and the average domestic beer starts at 80 bhat (2. 53USD) and easily goes to 130 bhat (4. 19 USD) for the 640ml. But so many persist in the belief that all Buddhists are vegetarian and that vegetarian food is common in Thailand, as after all, they've seen all the episodes of Kung Fu. Folks, the fact is that commercial vegetarian/vegan/WFPB food is very difficult to find in Thailand and China, despite anecdotal claims made elsewhere. So while the selection of restaurant and street food is 'deficient', the availability of vegetables, fruit and more in the abundant wet markets makes cooking healthily and well much easier.

Thanks I wish I can too. I live in the states now- a small town in Massachusetts where there is not much variety of foods: ( However, I like visiting my friend in Cali whenever I can. I love the food there- it tastes like home. So many type of food. Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and of course Thai. Where do you live before you came to Thailand?

Haha, thanks for watching and for the message I do enjoy eating just about everything, and though I do love every form and kind of vegetable and fruit, I also enjoy meat as well. But yes, eating a diet high in vegetables and fruits is something I love

Hi Mark, Wondering if your vegetarian guide is still available through any means? Or is it now part of the eating Thai food book? Ps. Love your videos and would really appreciate even more vegetarian videos, even if they may not be that popular.

Glad to hear that I'm using a Canon DSLR 550d with a 55-135mm lens. And now I have an external Rode Video Mic for sound (but I wasn't using that for this video, but I'd recommend it. I'm using a Mac.
