MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA - Today was an ultimate Jamaican food day - including many of the islands best comfort foods and family gathering foods. We headed to the river, to cook up Jamaican curry goat, oxtail stew, and ackee and saltfish. Turned into an epic meal, great people, and an ultimate food experience in Jamaica. We had the pleasure to hang out with Matt Robinson - The Jamaica Food Boss. Hes such a cool guy, has a huge heart for Jamaican food, and hes so knowledgeable as well. He offers amazing food tours in Jamaica. Check them out when youre in Montego Bay: Sunday is family day in Jamaica and so we all headed out to the river for a Jamaican curry goat link-up But to get there, we took a bamboo raft, something thats known in Jamaica, and extremely fun and relaxing. It was about a 15 minute bamboo raft ride to get to the site where Matt and the Chefs were setting up and ready to prepare this epic Jamaicna food feast. - Curry Goat - It would not be a party or a get together in Jamaica without curry goat, and its one of Jamaicas best dishes. - Oxtail stew - We also made oxtail stew, a rich blend of oxtail including the meat, fat, and skin. The texture was insane. - Ackee and Saltfish - Additionally Chef made ackee and saltfish, the national food of Jamaica and easily my favorite dish of Jamaica as well. Loved it - Peppa shrimp - And to begin this incredible meal, we started with some peppa shrimp - scotch bonnet pepper with freshwater crayfish. And outstanding day, and a Jamaican food experience Ill never forget

Some more food Mark needs to try; 1. Stew peas wid di pig tail in deh. 2. Run dung wid roast breadfruit & bammy 3. Green gungo rice & peas or red peas wid coconut milk (please grater the coconut, no artificial. 4. Fry (escovitch) & steam fish wid bammy or roast breadfruit or roast yam or turn cornmeal (caaah leave out di tun carmeal. 5. Red herring good wid ackee n salfish n roast breadfruit too. BIG UP TO DI CHEF IN THIS VIDEO, YUH DEAL WID DI TING WICKID, EVRYTIN WAS PERFECT.

Very irresponsible of you to be traveling in this time. Don't be so lax with yourself and family because there will not be a cure for Coronavirus for a very long time, there will be several outbreaks and there may not be a cure until China releases the original sequence of the virus. I don't wish that illness on anyone.

Waw, I know from experience that would have been fantastic food, I love to see the knowledge and skill that went in to creating this wonderful meal, I apologise for next comment, but so sad today to see so many people in UK just don't know how to cook anymore,

Mark Wiens. few days back. i saw a video of yours. and u said that u were self home quarentine due to Covid-19 with your family in BAngkok, Thailand. Now are you in JAMAICA? inspite of the pandemic thats going on?

OMG real Oxtail it's gonna be so gummy, the curry goat with white rice is my favoritemy mouth is so watery right now Mark thank you so much for visiting my homeland. watching this in quarantine in the USA.

Oh Mark. That place ure at look so awesome an the food. U set off my appetite. Im a Native of American. Navajo Indian. never have I seen Jamaicans prepare their food look so yummy
