Mango kulfi and other amazing Indian street foods at When I was in Delhi, India, my main goal was to search out and eat as many Indian street foods and interesting things as I possibly could. After doing some searches, I finally came across Kuremal Mahavir Prasad Kulfi Wale, a long standing ice cream vendor in the alleys of Old Delhi. Just a short walk from the Chawri Bazar metro station, down an ancient looking lane is the sleepy shop. I came to Kuremal Mahavir Prasad Kulfi Wale to mostly sample something known as mango kulfi, which is the equivalent of a mango ice cream or gelato that's Indian style. At this particular shop in Delhi, they first take the finest mangos, which are normally alphonso in variety, hollow out the seed from the middle, and then fill the center with a special mixture of cream and spices. The mango is then covered with a thick layer of clay and allowed to freeze until turning into a solid brick. When you order the mango kulfi, it is then removed from the freezer and the vendor hammers off the clay from the top of the mango. Using nothing short of a hacksaw blade, the vendor slices of the skin from the mango. When that's all done, he slices the mango into thin bite sized pieces and puts them all the on the plate. Mango kulfi at Kuremal Mahavir Prasad Kulfi Wale is a real treat. It's frozen so hard, and the delicious mango goes so well with the thick Indian ice cream that's lightly flavored with a mixture of spices that includes cardamom. Delhi, India, is full of delicious Indian street food, but after a long day of walking around the streets of Old Delhi, there was nothing more satisfying than a freezing cold plate of mango kulfi Open Hours: Afternoon /evening is the best time Price: It cost me 200 INR (3. 64) - I'm not sure if I got ripped off, but even if I did, it was really good. Address: Kucha Pati Ram, Bazar Sita Ram, Delhi, 110006 How to get there: Take the Metro to Chawri Bazar, exit at gate 3, and immediately cross the street and go down Sita Ram Bazar lane. Take your second right at Kucha Pati Ram, an alley marked by a big fruit stall. Walk down the alley for 200 - 300 meters and you'll come to the place on your right hand side

indian foods are look delicious. I always enjoying watching indian cuisines. its entertaining. the foods are healthy. they are always putting condiments which is good to our health. they are not using MSG. The only thing that is not good are their unhygienic preparation. most videos of their preparations are using only with barely hands. their nails are dirty so it looks that they were not washed their hands before preparation. But thats it. that's the only bad thing I observe that's why many bashers around with your foods. So to all indians. I have nothing against you. I think you just need is improvement with your food preparation. clean your hands and the utensils you are going to use. that's it. But again your foods are still good and looks delicious.

For those complaining about it not being hygienic, that may be true but people there are used to it. And one important thing is that the prevalence of allergies in the developed world is very much related to not being exposed to bacteria as a child which forces the immune system to develop responses against harmless substancies or even against their own body. I am from Brazil which is halfway between India and the developed world, with some places being more like one or the the other and I am glad that I can eat almost everywhere and not get sick.

Coming from an Indian. my parents have never let me have any of these street food, because it's so dirty and god knows what's in there. they always say either look up the recipe and make it on your own (what my mom does) or go somewhere cleaner. I mean, I know it's called street food, but unless you want all that noise and dust surrounding you. you can get those same stuff in proper restaurants too. plus you wont have diarrhea the next day

People who are commenting about Mark getting ripped off, have never been to this place. Ask anyone from Delhi, they will tell you 200/- or more is the price for the Kulfi for this artistic Kulfi. These are the same people who do not open their mouth when they pay 500 Rs for foreign brand of ice cream which costs only 50Rs to manufacture. DO NOT COMMENT ABOUT TOPICS THAT YOU ARE NOT AWARE AND BLAME A COUNTRY

Not very hygenic. plus they might be ripping you off. all foreigners travelling should take care of the price they pay because the moment the shop keepers see a foriegner they will start charging very high prices. All shopkeepers are not like that but still many would try to make as much money as possible by ripping you off.

Guys, please carry gloves with you and give them they will oblige your request. Please spend some money and go to decent places. People want five star treatment paying peanuts. All these vloggers select only dirt places because it's dirt cheap. Five minutes video is not India.

kurmure prasad was just sitting on the scooter behind you talking to somebody and then he was cutting the kulfi for you. and being an Indian i know he wouldn't have washed his hands before start slicing it. apparently next time you should try something hygienic.

Mango ice cream. I only see the mango frozen in ticks. There are things that lead to Japanese frozen oranges. Mango is very tasty fruit. As for me, Indian fruit, mangoes float. What did you think of this fruit ice cream as Mark five years ago?
reply

Lol, so the guy who smashed the mango needed to borrow the hacksaw blade from the guy on the bike? Hope he did clean his hands before cutting your mango Mark. Ok just kidding always good to come back to these old videos and see how far you've come.
