Healthy nutrition hacks + printable guide Hanna: The selenium content in Brazil nuts can vary a lot, how can make one sure not to have an to high/toxic input? As well Brazil nuts store radioactive compounds. For example the German office for risk assessment (not sure about the proper translation) recommends not to eat more then two Brazil nuts per day to be safe not to overintake radioactive compounds

I'm curious about tannins and iron absorption. I've been trying to cut down on my soda intake and have been replacing it with black iced tea. This is also my primary source of caffeine (I'm a grad student, so I need lots of caffeine to function, lol. Is there such a thing as too much black tea? And does it only reduce absorption of iron is consumed at the same time as iron rich foods? And, what is considered at the same time? Like is drinking some black tea 15, 30 minutes after a meal enough of a break between? Thanks!

This was a great video! I've got to try the sprouting; I didn't realize how easy it was to do it yourself!
One thing that confuses me is that I've heard calcium can inhibit iron absorption? How much should I put this into practice? For instance with making oatmeal in the morning, and I use a calcium-fortified plant milk, would that interfere with the iron absorption from the oats?

Thank you for saying that sprouting is an ancient practice! I come from a vegetarian family and I don't remember a time we didn't have a side of sprouts with every meal. I moved to UK recently and the sprout salad is a new-ish trend here and they charge exorbitant amounts of money for something so basic. Talk about Columbusization.

I love watching your videos with my girls (7 and 10) as they are a big fan of yours and they learn so much about what is good for their bodies. Can't stress enough what an impact you have in our society. You have set the first stone of us being becoming vegans almost a year ago: ) All the best from Germany

This might seem like a weird comment, but the way you're picking apples in the video is very harmful to the tree. Always turn the apple upside down and show the eye to the sky. If it comes right off it's ready to pick, otherwise leave it on the tree and choose another one.

I'm recently learning about all the different minerals our bodies need because I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and my nutritionist recommended I supplement my chromium. I was hoping you would talk about that because I still haven't figured out which foods have it.

Thank you for these inspiring videos. I'm coming to healthy food so late in life. I wish they would teach this important information to kids in elementary school. Imagine the physical, social, economic, etc. lifelong benefits.
Keep em coming gorgeous!
