I use one of the orange igloo coolers, the kind that players dump on their coaches after a game, to soak grains while brewing beer at home. I soak the grains for an hour and only lose 1-2 degrees in that time. So, you dont have to add water. You can set it and forget it! That would work great here also I think! Plus the cooler can still be used for other things. Although I know its priced than the styrofoam one. But, at least you get to keep it.

How exciting. Recipe itself looks fantastic. I have literally been watching the progress of this world in slow motion. The longer I live, of coarse, the more I see. I can't help but wonder why we did not come up with this little invention sooner. Expensive little tool. I'll wait for the hoopla to die down and then buy it for 39. 99. Thank you for the demo. That burger looked flavorful and juicy. As always you have outdone yourself.

You always look like your knives are incredibly sharp and special ones for all different things. Can you tell us what brand of knives they are and where to get them. Also if you cannot get those exact ones anymore or if theyre EXTREMELY expensive, what are some other good alternatives. Also the cutting boards you use. Thanks. Love your videos. Keep them coming.

A-mazing Sam, I cannot wait to try that. My first experience with sous vide wasn't impressive AT ALL! it was a steak and it sucked, but I'm no quitter and will give it another go lol. Can't wait for the tour, you've got a beautiful set up there. Perfect video time in my view, very informative, LIKED!

Sam, offered not as a criticism; rather, offered as a suggestion? To squarely address the Sous Vide doubters or other is it done skeptics about whether or not the inside of that burger is, in fact, Perfectly Cooked as advertised, maybe get/show an internal temperature reading? #Respect

This burger looks really delish! But, why are you callling this an Asian Burger? There's absolutely nothing Asian about it. Trust me. Go to Asia, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam. etc. You won't find anything even remotely close to a burger like this!

Eating undercooked ground beef is one of the main causes of E. coli, which can cause symptoms including diarrhea, vomiting and stomach cramps. These symptoms usually occur between two and eight days after eating contaminated food and can last for up to a week.

Nice! If you're not a fan of Hoison sauce, can you substitute honey or something else sweet? I'm really want to try a burger cooked this way and now you have had my attention, we will! Thank you as always! You're so entertaining! Surprising every time! Lol.

Why did you cook it in the styrofoam like that and not directly in the pot with the sous vide? It would have kept the water the same temperature throughout the cooking process, instead of keep adding water. Just never seen anyone do it that way.
