I love meatloaf, and this cheesy grilled version might just be the best one Ive ever made - no s%&t! Andrew: Alright, I made it today. Unfortunately, it was too damn good. I had to stop these people from eating it so I would have some tomorrow for a meatloaf sandwich! A couple things I had to change though: I didn't have a tomato sauce or roasted red pepper sauce and ran out of ketchup (three kids--- do the math, so I threw some slices of bacon on the top. Also, didn't have enough bread crumbs so I crushed some potato chips into oblivion and added them. A great recipe and I can't wait to try your leftover meatloaf suggestions. Wife hasn't tried it yet, if this gets me laid; your cheque is in the mail.

Got mine on the grill right now! Omitted the cheese and elaborated a little. Instead of roasted pepper sauce I am using Huoy Fong garlic chili paste as well as in an Asian/Carolina inspired sweet barbecue sauce. Using the Barbeque? Absolutely genius! Its 108 degrees here in the desert and we tend to avoid using the oven in fear of heating up the whole house. Now I can look at our favorite recipes in a new light. Thanks Sam, we can think about eating a wider range of foods now that you have shown us the possibilities.

A) This looks delicious! Its everything that meatloaf should be, without any of the common drawbacks. B) I love the way that this video demonstrates that recipes arent set in stone: Dont have sauce A? Use sauce B (or C, or D. Out of herb blend X? Herb blend Y will do the job just put some flavor into the thing! C) While I hardly expect any sort of reward for my comment, if you might find it in your heart to send me a shot glass, or possibly a bottle opener with your brand on it, that would be greatly appreciated!

I'm on here just looking for ideas. I'm not sure it would work for your recipe but I cook the meatloaf in a smoker and give it a little pecan or hickory smoke. Really good. I use 2/3 80/20 and 1/3 pork sausage. And it is better the next day. The smokey flavor spreads throughout the meatloaf more. We do sandwiches with it for left overs. Today I tried melted cheese with an egg over easy.

I've never commented on your vids but I love ALL of your recipes and your personality. Chinese beef rice bowl is my favorite go-to that I make at least once a week (that garlic red chili sauce is heaven). Haven't made it for anyone who didn't think it was amazing. Thanks for your dedication and constant videos for years. I tell all of my friends about your videos.

Used to love your tv show years ago. I was a little upset when it stopped airing. Really like your cooking style. Simple, practical, and delicious. I still make a garlic and olive oil pasta you served up, it's always a hit with my family. Can't believe I haven't seen you on you tube until today. Will be checking in regularly.

Hey Sam, I've been a fan of yours since you were on Discovery Health! My wife bought me all of your cookbooks for a Christmas present. I've made plenty of your recipes. On this meatloaf, I would suggest putting the cheese on in the last 20 minutes, so it doesn't turn out so leathery looking. Just my thought.

Sam, you have made me from someone who likes burgers or toasted bread with stuff on, to a sandwich MASTER (at least in the opinion of my family and friends. And myself. No gathering goes without me heating up a pan and making cheesy and meaty and delicious sandwiches inspired by you. THANKS MAN!
