I tried cooking a steak this way today for the first time, after some smokiness to start it was a very fun way to cook a steak and it turned out awesome! Ill be doing this again soon. Just happened to have the ingredients for the sauce he made so I gave it a try but didnt add it to my whole steak. Idk if I added too much cream or what I did wrong but I didnt really get the point of the sauce. Im sure I didnt make it like he did. It was actually better over my steamed broccoli than the steak.

dude. it took you TEN minutes to say - season, heat pan, sear, rest, cut. seriously? do you have an address where I can send the bill for that wasted 9. 5 minutes of my life? and oh by the way, that G then ad AY sauce. that crap needs to be washed down the toilet, either THAT or you have some rancid meat.

I'm not saying this is a bad way to make a thick steak but direct flame is the way to sear but for steaks 2 inches thick you reverse sear them, spices are to each their own, my favorite is celery seed/salt with some garlic, fresh ground peppar and sea salt and a little basil and oregano.

I made this for my boyfriend last year. He then tells me on Monday, you know what you made that youve outdone yourself? You only did it once but it was amazing. That steak on the skillet. So here I am, revisiting to go buy the ingredients tomorrow morning to make some steak and eggs.

I bought 2 huge Ribeyes but luckily I realized each one could feed two people. So we got to try this recipe twice! It came out perfect both times. Final thought- seems like a recipe you could easily do camping as long as you have good heat management.

Is there any chance you could make the sauce with 2% milk somehow? I want to make this for my family and I think I can with what we have, with the exception of the whipping cream. (we've been trying to make less grocery trips because of coronavirus)
