There eating a threatened species to extinction. I know there are ostrich farms but an ostrich lays 2-4 eggs a year. If more than 4 people eats just 1 egg each per year, they destroy a pair of ostriches ability to reproduce for an year. They live for a long time but they don't lay eggs their entire lives like turtles do. Who knows how many eggs are eaten at that restaurant. That means so many pairs who don't get to reproduce. That is an disgusting gimic that needs to end.

Ostrichcake, 40 pieces
300 g butter
7 dl sugar
1 ostrich egg
12 dl wheat flour
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
4 dl blueberries and raspberries
Melt the butter and allow to cool. Stir in sugar, eggs, flour and vanilla powder into the butter. Mix to a smooth batter.
Pour the batter into the mold and sprinkle over the berries. oven for 25 30 minutes

You were talking about how long it would take for them to make the fried egg, but either I missed it or you didn't note on how long it actually took from you ordered till the food was served?

The flavour of the egg depends where the ostrich that laid the egg comes from. In South Africa in Oudtshoorn, you can buy these eggs at almost any super market but because of the certain plants the ostriches eat on the farms there, the eggs have quite a herby taste to it.

So Barry is not huggy type with Jamie I guess?
Because James seemed to be more of a cuddly sort on a couple of occasions and Baz didn't seem to mind it.

Ben hit the nail on the head with the whole texture thing. So many foods I wont eat because of texture, which does include egg white.

They just pushed more ostriches towards extinction. Poor ostriches thier eggs will be stolen more from later on and they will extinct sooner.

Seems like something that can only really work with economies of scale. Definitely can't cook that for just one or two people.
