Will we ever run out of useless kitchen gadgets to test out? Doesn't look likely. And to top things off, we might have actually found one that's actually USEFUL in this video. it's a miracle!

Still, to this day, the best potato masher I've ever used is the one I still use. It was made in the 1950's, and was used by my great grandmother, then my grandmother, then she gave it to my dad. it's the standard thick steel wire outline type and I use it to both mash and whip potatoes. it's been taking a beating for 65 some odd years and is still practically good as new. as you'd expect from thick steel with a pretty durable plastic handle. It's an enduring design for a reason. it's sturdy, simple, and it just works. Sometimes innovation would be so marginal as to be pointless. and mashing potatoes (or any other cooked starchy veggie) is not a particularly complicated activity.

So you guys totally used the candy floss maker wrong. Before you put the sugar floss in the machine let it heat up for a few minutes, then it won't spit hot sugar all over the place. After you have the sugar in and the floss starts appearing you put your stick in ust to get it started and then once it's started you hold the stick parallel to the machine above the hole wear the floss is coming from and twist your stick in your hand. You will get lots of floss and won't burn the floss at the top of the stick.

My k9d has one of those candy floss makers. It needs to heat up for a bit before you add the sugar. Also you shouldn't add so much sugar. Then you wave your stick back and forth horizontally across the top of the machine. (Not vertically into the machine like they did. It actually makes a good amount of cotton candy.

I used to work at a concession stand at a park and when we made cotton candy(candy floss) we had to make a mixture of granulated sugar and something called flossine) I think. Essentially, it added the color, flavor, and helped make it stringy and soft. You can't just use sugar, it won't work.

I have just started watching kitchen gadgets and have found this to be very interesting and helpful. I love watching these being tested as I enjoy kitchen gadgets and this helps me to review whether i want to buy or not. Stay safe and well (from New Zealand)

3 out of 4 useless gadgets. I slice my own pineapples, as you should, because canned are for lawyers and politicians. I would NOT be disappointed if I got that pineapple slicer as a gift. I'd feel bad that that's all I use it for, but oh well.

The candy floss machine you should probably turn on for a minute before pouring the sugar in. Thats what you do with full size machines. The heating element needs to be hot enough to melt the sugar as it pours in.

I think the Spudnik might work better in a smaller more concave bowl rather than a large flat-bottomed pot. Though that would also limit its usefulness to much smaller volumes of potato, so still somewhat useless.

You guys should do gadget reviews but have the same type of gadgets at multiple price points (low, medium, and premium) I've seen a couple like this but I think there should be way more, love your vids!

The pocket washing machine isn't for a night out. It's for business trips or work desks etc where you might have limited access to washing machines but need to be presentable.
