Jamie shows you a beautiful recipe to give a go at home and vegans dont miss out either with a crunchy, seed coated, berry French toast. YUM

1. Why do people serving vegan food always try so hard to sell it?
2. Why does Ben talk like eating sweet French Toast isn't an option at all times of the day?
3. When you're putting the bread in custard, only put the amount that fits in the pan. Otherwise it soaks for too long as you're waiting for each batch to cook

The one thing nobody in other countries seems to get is that french toast or pain perdu should be made with old bread lost bread. This not only saves bread from going to waste but also gives it a lovely texture! Who makes french toast with brioche?

The classic french toast is the best, this recipe was a foodgasm at the end with the melting mascrapone. I would never want vegan french toast, however the savory recipe is interesting and I definitely would like to try it some time.

Here's a sentence containing a series of words that have never been said before. I'm making vegan french toast. Sure it has. Three years ago. By Alex. (French Guy Cooking) Look it up. Another great take for French Toast lovers.

Just so you know, French toast is SUPPOSED to be done with stale bread. The French name is pain perdu, literally lost bread, because you're saving it from the brink of death and rehydrate it in the custard

Jamie, I love your use of French! Your level of French is the same as mine. It's beautiful, because I can completely understand you, without the subtitles. XD

Is mike a vegan/vegetarian or at least heading that way? This is the 2nd or 3rd consecutive video ive watched with him making a vegan dish, he seems a big fan

So all three of these sound amazing, but can we talk about the whisk attachment for the food processor at 7: 35? Why have I never seen one before? I need one
reply

Having had the tri blade thing for years this is the first time I've seen the whisk attachment. Its the best thing since sliced bread.

I tried the not-so-classic banana French toast and I loved it! Strong on banana, just really great French toast recipe overall!
