homemade ones hands down1. the price of the ingredients when you math it out is actually cheaper than the whole sandwich from MacD itself. 2. even though YES it takes 4+ hours to make the sandwiches completely. BUT you can go and do anything else during the period of time the dough was rising. Dishes? Cleaning? A nap? etc. MacD takes time to get there, time to order, time waiting to get your meal paid for, time to get it, waiting in traffic again, getting home. eating it. Even if you are 10 minutes away from a MacD from home with traffic, thats 20 minutes of traffic + another 10 minutes waiting in the Drive Through to order, 2 minutes paying, another 5 minutes waiting to get it, 15 minutes waiting to get back INTO traffic because we all know people are asshats. So that is what? 20 + 10 + 2 + 5 + 15. lets call it an hour. a full hour that you could have been doing something else other than sitting in your car. Sure you could eat your meal during that 15 minutes from getting your food and getting into traffic, but who wants to drive with greasy fingers? 3. Customization is so doable here. You could make wheat muffins, pumpernickel, glutten free, etc. MacD you get one kind of muffin. The basic one. You can swap out bacon for the ham or sausage for the ham, you could ADD additional meats with the ham (my go to. That is my two cents at least.

If Im making a breakfast sandwich at home, I want it to taste BETTER than McDonalds, and I would use better ingredients, but still be time and cost effective. Here is how I do it. My happy medium between McDonalds and making from scratch is buying English muffins, then doing something along the following. Split the muffin and butter the insides. Heat to about medium the biggest cast iron skillet you have. Cook/heat your breakfast meat of choice, then deglaze and butter the pan, and cook the eggs in the meat fat still in the pan. I prefer scrambled eggs with a little half-and-half mixed in, and sometimes dill. (Another option are fried eggs)When the scrambled eggs are cooked enough to hold up a bit, but not yet cooked through, move them to one half of the pan. Fry the muffin halves in the other half of the pan. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the eggs once theyre done cooking, then put the meat on top, so the cheese melts and sticks to both. Place muffin halves on plate, then place the stack of eggs, cheese, and meat on the muffin. Top with other half and enjoyWhole process takes me about 15 minutes and tastes sooooo much better

I dont think you really have to go as far as making home made muffins. Obviously for the purpose of the video it was interesting, but if youre at home, just buy some It will cut hours off of this process I make my own fancy breakfast muffins that everyone says are better than McDonalds (I wouldnt know, Ive never had an Egg McMuffin) & they sure smell better I whisk some eggs, season & add a little cream (& sometimes a little garlic because I put garlic in everything. Then I get a slice tin/tray & scatter some diced onion, baby spinach & torn up slices of honey baked ham (paper thin sliced/shaved) all over the bottom of the slice tin. Pour egg mixture over & sprinkle cheese on top (I like a mix of cheddar & Parmesan. Bake in the oven until set & golden. Cut into small squares to fit an English muffin, place on toasted (& preferably buttered) muffin & add a slice of cheese. Ta-da Its amazing

So looking at the recipe, most of the ingredients needed for the muffin are things you would already have or regularly obtain. The special purchases are bread flour, semolina or polenta, and yeast, plus the Canadian bacon and cheese. Cost wise, just accounting for the special purchases, it comes out to about a 1. 80/mcmuffin. If you factor in just what you use for this of regular purchases (milk, butter, oil, sugar, it gets a bit more complicated but still only gets up to probably more like 2. 50? Theres too many factors there for me to quickly do the math but its still worth it in terms of cost, I think. Time and effort count for a lot but if youre into meal prepping or something the time it takes to make these up in advance? Woooorth it. Even more worth it if you just. buy premade muffins.

I think to meet halfway between a made from scratch home cooked egg McMuffins and McDonalds egg McMuffin is getting a breakfast sandwich maker. I recently bought one for my bf and I off of amazon and it literally takes 3 mins to preheat the machine and get the ingredients, and 5 minutes for the sandwich to cook. This is a really interesting video and I hope that you folks make a series out of this(:

Please explain to me more about your ease and convenience when you are lying in your hospital bed due to blocked arteries or stomach cancer. I dont understand Americans. Yall know and say McDonalds is sooo badddd while stuffing your mouth with that trash. What was really so special about McMuffin? Its freaking egg, meat, and cheese slice on bread. Just do it at home and stay healthy

I am sorry, I LOVE tasty, but these people have no idea what theyre doing. I dont know who doesnt understand what a dough hook is and when to use it. If I expect anyone to know, it would be culinary producers on a cooking show. So I am very much disappointed in this video, Im sorry. This was also not very entertaining at all, but not every video can be a win I guess

I was told McDonalds is known as the 100% pure Diabetes Restaurant. But I think thats only if you eat McDonalds everyday for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, there is a risk that you can get diabetes very easily. But if you only eat like almost for times like once or twice a month, you wont get sick. Just stay healthy if you wanna feel good about your life.

Girl in orange is only in the video for the thumbnail She says Now that Im older, I need to feed myself like wtf have you been doing since you were a teenager, that is prime time to learn how to cook. A woman can cook and feed her family, I feel bad for this girl. Seeing this video makes me want to make sure my kids turn out better than that
