If anyone noticed the apples look hard (meaning it was raw)Please cook the apple mixture until it sweats and become a sticky solution with the apples very soft and bendy. If you dont do this you will be left with hard uncooked crunchy apple pie (unless you swing that way go ahead and leave it alone)

I just tried this Last night and the dough would not cook. The moisture from the apple kept the dough from really cooking. I suggest doing a blind bake for the bottom crust and also after removing the foil turn on the broiler

I made this pie today and my husband and I cut into it and it was RAW and the apples were not fully cooked. WTF? I did it exactly like the recipe says to do.
