In episodes of call the midwife there was a man who baked when he was stressed out and he made the simplest but best looking little cheesecake ever. And that show was centered around the 50s and 60s so you can imagine its been a favorite for a very long time

Paneer or Indian cottage cheese, is still made the same way. In fact, the eastern parts of India, use Paneer or its unpressed form for a lot of desserts and sweets. Great to see that cheesecake could be made in this way as well. Worth a trial

I would actually believe these videos if the cook was more believable, ten to one it tastes like a honey cheesecake from 1739 and hopefully next time they use honey that hasn't been filtered.

Something died inside of me when she just went ahead and scooped out a bite from the middle iinstead of taking a nicely cut piece in a plate. So insulting to the cake.

Anyone else had a panic attack when she scooped from the middle of the cheesecake at the end of the video, instead of scooping from the edge.
