My grandma sometimes make something similar to this when i go visit her, the only difference is that instead of putting spaghetti in the oven, she cook them in a pan, and without anything else on top, maybe some grated cheese. It's good (suprisingly we are Italians and she's born in Southern Italy. She calls it pastiera but afaik it is a sweet pie

My father would make something very similar when we were kids, he called it Greek spaghetti, he made it the next day after we had regular spaghetti, of course he told us Sophia Loren taught him to make spaghetti sauce so deep down we had doubts that this was how Greeks ate spaghetti.

These recipes are an atrocity, & border line blasphemous to the Italian culture & their food. Italians do not mix meat with their pasta & passata sauce, the meat is servrd as a main course after the pasta is served. I'm Irish, 56 y. o. a, & even i know that.

I am Italian Why am I watching this? In Italy when you dont finish spaghetti the next day u will probably eat frittata di spaghetti, altro che torta al fornoFrittata means egg in the pan idk if theres a translation for that
