Three Easy Ways To Meal Prep For Your Picky Eater // Presented by Happy Family Organics Minecraftian Eldritch Horror: Good tip for parents of picky kids: If your kid hates a particular food, ask them what they don't like about it. It could be the taste, texture, color, doneness, temperature, seasoning, the utensils they have to use in order to eat it, anything. Example: I hated broccoli as a kid but my parents made me eat it even though it made me gag and choke. Turns out I'm autistic and the bushy part of broccoli is what makes me sick (due to sensory issues + taste, especially if it's overdone. I actually love the stalk part of broccoli, but no one ever thought to separate the stalks for me, because they had no idea why I hated broccoli. If they had just asked me about it and talked through it with me, I could've avoided so much unnecessary unpleasantness, and had a healthy vegetable I would actually eat a whole lot sooner.

Puree pouches are terrible for the environment. They specifically say on the package they cannot be recycled. I have yet to see a pouch that says theyre recyclable. I know its hard to avoid plastic but its very easy to avoid buying single-use plastic packaging snacks like these. If youre so into feeding you kids a delicious meal with fresh produce, you might as well make the puree yourself. Its cheaper in the long run (produce is ususlly the cheapest part of a meal anyways) and youll help minimize your impact on the environment, even if its something as small as not buying single-serve plastic-wrapped snacks. Like most organic snacks, theyre very expensive for a small amount of food with more packaging than a cheaper option. -sigh- i did like those recipes though, my picky eater is my boyfriend so these are interesting ideas to try

My mom spent so many years making different meals for me and my siblings, because Id like the stuff that she initially made but they didnt. And because of how picky my older sibling is I cant cook the foods I want to, to enhance my skills

See. the problem is my oicky eater doesn't even have a full mouth if teeth and is WAY to young to help me with anything. The kid who DOES help me is not a pixky eater. That may not be a coincidence now that I think about it. Lol

How my mom did this - You will never leave the table till you eat all the soup, you bastard. And yap. It worked. Sometimes, if you make such fuss around your kids, you make them unadapted for their own independent lives.

I grew up not knowing what a picky eater is. I ate what my mom could put on the table and I respected it. Children have become so spoiled that it is now normal. Teach your kids to respect what they get no matter what it is

My friend is allergic to most things, so her mom always just assumed she was a picky eaterNope, she was just starving and dying from the ages of Baby to 18, bc of the eat or starve rule they hadFun times

My mom's solution for her picky kids was making the food for the day, saying this isn't a restaurant, if you don't like what I made then don't eat and. that was it. No catering or spoiling to anyone.

Idk about you, but picky eaters means i dont like this, i dont like that. A recipe that calls for this many ingredients definitely INCREASES the chances of picky eaters NOT liking it

Picky eater, when I was kid Id just finish what id like 1% of my meal and sit there until i got send to my room because it was sleep time. This would not have helped my mum.
