Maybe I just have high standards, but when someone calls something a -hack- I expect it to be able to take the complex and make it simple. To allow people to do things that they may not be able to have done before. most of these recipes seemed to merely take a shortcut by using processed candy, obvious short cuts and lets not forget the whole lacking amount of ingredients when ingredients were actually used. The pear mush was particularly disgusting. many having nothing but an already existing chocolate product that was reformed (as if it were clever) with some whipped cream. This isn't a hack, one could hardly even qualify it as cooking.
