So, let me explain how Flowey is Asriel Dreemurr (Asgore's son)
When Chara got sick and died, Asriel went up to the surface to put them in a coffin. Since Chara was a DEAD HUMAN that was WITH the monsters, the war started because the humans thought Asriel killed Chara. The humans killed Asriel. His soul though, stayed alive. Alphys tested the soul on one of Asgore's flowers, and it became Asriel, or what remained of him.
