OMG The straw knife blade 'cover'! That's a TERRIBLE idea! For one it wouldn't even work, they would fall off so easily. But that looks incredibly dangerous! I was wincing watching that part. looked like the knife would slice their fingers with a quickness as they slid the straw on. No way!

Instead of putting rubber bands on your cutting board, use a damp paper towel spread out underneath it. It won't move and you won't cut a stretched rubber band and snap your hands.
And. clean up the countertop with it when you're done!
