This is great. I'm So glad you're doing this. Though I have been drawing for a couple of years or so. I am just self taught and from books and videos but I know there's things I've missed and don't know. And your teaching style is excellent. It's just right for my brain. Hey I'm a grandma. -
A couple of years back I was wanting to draw a cup. I knew I had to draw an ellipse but it wasn't something I had any practice with.
I kept drawing them over and over and drew a couple of pages of them. And I have drawn more of them since then but for some reason it's not the easiest shape for me.

thank you soooo much sir. this and it was a really good tutorial, this is Maadhav and in higher grades it becomes tougher and tougher to draw diagrams of chemistry and biology. I was very weak at drawing but because of your explanation I was able to draw a diagram of chemistry[ evaporating dish ] that's when I got confidence for drawing better stuff. thank you so much sir--

Thank you for this. I struggle with drawing cups, bowls and the like because I really really struggle to portray onto my paper what I see with my eyes. It's so tricky for me to convey the shadows that are inside the bowl. Any tips? And my hands get shaky while drawing the circle top so it looks wonky. Thank you for all the advice, again.

If you hold a round object i. e. Coin poker chip washer from a screw in nut set etc it you hold it between two fingers and slowly rotate it you will see every possible degree of ellipse there is.
Therefore, an ellipse is just a circle viewed at an angle.
