I'm finally starting my art class for the semester, and this video is super helpful! I feel like I always put way to much pressure on my wrists, and I lack the results. Now, I have some new tools to try! And it always helps to know that people don't get it right away. It takes time and practice. And it's a journey! There is no big end goal, and the key is to learn new things while making what you love. I almost always need the reminder. Thanks for sharing!

Why'd I have to be born a left handed person? As an artist who uses dip pens it was pure torture, but in contrast the more I messed up it gave me more of an opportunity to practice and see what I was doing wrong and changing the way I hold my pencil/nib holder while also getting more practice actually drawing characters and landscapes that I was messing up lol.

Been practicing overhand grip for few months now, and I see vast difference in my drawing strokes, at first it'd feel so uncomfortable to hold the pencil like that-

I think some people just have a lot better hand/eye coordination than others lol even handwriting for me is too challenging and writing is still drawing the letters too.

I was studying to draw when I was 7 and then I suddenly stopped, after 7 years I wanted to draw again but I forgot how and then Isaw your Vids it helped me a whole lot thanks.

Sooooooo do you have any holding tips but like, for digital art? cuz holding the digital pencil like that is pretty hard since they're thicker.

I was practicing with the tripod grip but using my shoulder. Overhand grip definitely makes it easier to control the pressure.
