I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved companion, Barr. He was a sweet and loyal friend. He will remain in your heart for the rest of your days, and in that way, he lives forever. I believe in a God that reunites us with all the animals we loved and made our family.
I'm happy you are celebrating the life of Barr. It will hurt your heart for some time and then, one day, it won't hurt quite so much and when you think of Barr, a smile will replace the tears.

I feel your sadness and this makes me feel really sad as well, as I lost my dog after 12 wonderful year as well. Your dog had the most wonderful dog life that's for sure, he was from the first minute until his last minute of his free life together with you and motivated you to do what you did. When one or two years are over, the sadness will be easier and the wishful thinking about this part on Barr of your life and this important past of the family will win over your dark emotions and you will be thankful for this important time with your friend.

Barr is no longer with us.
He passed away a month ago. We had discovered he was born with problems throughout his spine, something we’ve been fighting together for a long time.
You don’t have to suffer anymore friend. I hope heaven is full of open fields to run through, endless sticks to chase and all the water you can jump into with as many belly flops as you want.
I’ve made your favourite place on the porch permanently yours. I can still see you lying there buddy, and I always will.

As they say; They won't be your best friend of all of your life, but they will be your best friend for all of their life.
Barr had a better life than 99, 9% percent of dogs out there and he will be remembered as a good boy.
You are lucky to have so much footage of your friend.
Edit: But now i'm looking at my kitten and crying. I just got him and i know i will lose him one day.

My heart aches for you and the loss of Barr. Nothing can prepare us for the loss of a fur legged family member and the stillness that follows afterwards. May he his soul rest in peace and pain free.
That is a beautiful tribute of you carving his paw print into the deck, where he'll be with you for many years. I wept when I seen his image behind you, where I feel he'll always be.

So sorry for the loss of your furry friend. I have watched you with him since was a puppy and a very lovely companion. May he be having fun catching his frezbees and hunting in the fields above, Erik seeing you at the end holdings Barr's collar was a bitter/sweet moment and I love the paw mark and his named engraved on the porch, condolence's to you at this time.

He was a pleasure to see having the time of his short living his best life you provided for him sorry to hear about his passing but like you said now he free of any illnesses or ailments to run and frolic pain in heaven

It is a terrible ache, losing one's dog, and now that feeling is yours and it punctures the heart every day. Thinking of them will always feel like the trees in autumn, wondering where spring went. Hvil i fred, Barr.

Ah man the dog collar. I know that feeling all too well. I wore my dog's old leather collar around my wrist for a while after he died. And I still have it, of course, 10 years later.

Anyone who has lost a dog knows the pain never really goes away, you just learn to live with it. All that grief you feel is the love you had for Barr, with no place to go.
