Answering some of your questions about Gesture: Is it OK to skip gesture? What's the difference between gesture and contour? Can I use scribbly lines to find gesture? juveejunko: Stan, thank you so much for your videos. I never heard the suggestion to exaggerate the gesture before, but this makes so much sense! I find that once I start laying in details over my gesture, the pose begins to looks stiff, so I will definitely try your suggestion.

I prefer the way you showed it. I can get accurate gesture drawings with simplistic lines instead of scribbly lines. Scribbly lines are confusing. Thank you for your great content. It really helps: D

With the way you made those muscles shaped and shadowed you would have to turn that foot in to the right. Otherwise you look like your wildly kicking his toes to the left.

God, are you good! I have FINALLY found videos that describe, explain and demonstrate how I was taught to do gesture - my students LOVE your videos, but not as much as I do!

This is a very useful video. After practicing gestures, I've come up with the same questions as was on this video. And Stan's answers are really spot on! Thank you!
