An interesting side effect of this series is I-m developing a respect for my body I never had. I need to lose weight pretty badly, understanding the strain I-ve got on my bones is giving me a conviction I never had before. Such a complex body deserves to be taken care of, you know?

This is probably my fifth time or more, coming back to this vid over the past few years. And I finally understand the -purpose- of each spinal section. I'm blurry on the details, but in terms of motion, proportion, general forms, and gesture, I think I get it now.

i actually had thoracic-lumbar scoliosis, which led to spinal fusion surgery of most of my spine. It's interesting to see what ranges of motion i lost.

In every anatomy book I've seen, the spine is not so curved. I'd like to know why you exagerate so much the curves, especially the toracic region. Thanks

Awesome. As someone who studies this as part of my degree, I am amazed that artists needs to study them to such depth as well.
