Its not difficult because of complexity. If you are having issues it's because you havent studied perspective and don't have basic drawing techniques developed far enough. Before attempting anatomy you must practice perspective and drawing basic forms. If you do not have a good grasp on cylinders, you absolutely cannot draw a bucket. Before drawing a cylinder, you must be able to draw a long box in perspective. Before you can draw a box you must learn linear perspective. Before you can learn linear perspective you must understand basic ALGEBRA and GEOMETRY. if you lack basic mathematical principles and hate math, the STRUCTURAL approach will be very difficult. It's not impossible to get through that hurdle though, and I dare say that if you really want to learn the structural approach to figure and picture making you will make the sacrifice. If you don't want to, ask yourself if you even really want to learn this or if you are willing to work a thousand times harder due to your grudge on math.

That squashed part is pretty tricky. I found one tube video about perfect circle cylinder in any angle in which is explained that if you are looking to top of the cyilder and the bottom (that line from top to bottom of elipse) that if they (tops) align to the cylinders vanishing point then cyilinder top is a circle in that case if we want to draw a cylinder that is not a perfect cyrcle (looking from above or in front) then we just dont align those tops with the vanishing point? Idk if my english explained it well. just wandering. Hate to go further if I have issues in understanding the first part of it.

i still prefer draw the simple bucket shape for the pelvis. i do understand that knowing how to draw a a detailed pelvis would aid in drawing from imagination but I feel that it depends on your personal style, Some artists would want to go that far but for others maybe a simple shape would suffice. its like how we would not draw every single rib and sternum when drawing the ribcage.

instead of defining that complicated squished ellipse Axis which i don't understand its concept, y can just draw a box that has the same ratio from top to bottom that accommodate the squished ellipse then scale down the bottom plane of the box and draw those 2 ellipse on those 2 planes, also the widest line of the squished ellipse should always be on the center sides of the pelvis

I problem I felt was the lack of proportion between the width of the cylinder and its height, that threw me off.
Please, do you thing we could you start from a 1: 1 perspective cube so we can get our bearings on the right proportions of the cylinder? .how much should it be? it's about 3/4 as tall as it is wide?

With this kind of presentation, I meet struggle with knowing where the pointer is, as a mouse pointer is easier to follow with your eyes on a screen, here this little dot is quite stealthy!
It would be easier to know what you're looking at with the integration of some arrows upon the video, I think.

I came here because I've been drawing a lot without knowing fundamentals but now I'm sitting here, listening to Stan and feeling like he's about to say something like -damn Karo, you've been doing this for years and still I have to explain to you how to draw a ducking cylinder, gosh-.

The perspective is something we have a lot of trouble whit, are you planing to make a perspective videos? , I know you made the structure video a while ago, but that video was helpful to draw cubes, but squeezed cylinders are not that easy: (

I'm trying to understand the method to construct the ellipse (so I can remember it well, why is the angle of the ellipse is in between the line perpendicular to the tilt axis and the side-to-side line of the ellipse?

I though drawing the pelvis straight away was too difficult for me, so I focused only on drawing the sliced bucket from differente perspectives, and when I come to this video that's exactly whats he's talking about, wow
