Firstly, I'm white. What bothers me about this isn't whether of not the exaggeration choices are racist but how dismissive Court is of the criticism. At least one of the comments is quite well reasoned in it's critique when you do some research into historical caricature of black people and yet, as with the 'spirit animal' debacle, Court has not only entirely dismissed the issue without apparently considering the criticisms at all, he has also pinned inflammatory, condescending responses to the 'SJW's. Honestly, that is what makes me find him disrespectful. All that people really want is for others to be prepared to listen and consider peoples concerns, even if they don't end up in agreement. Here, he's chosen to be dismissive and inflammatory which has led to more devision. The unprofessional response strikes me as off-brand for Proko. It's quite unattractive.

Dear Social Justice Internet warriors,
Please go back in this series where, with a few antisemitic strokes of his pencil, Mr. Jones emphasizes Gene Wilder's large nose in a caricature! We all need you to dig up racism where there is absolutely none because your virtue signalling on art tutorial videos inspires us all to be the best we can. Your political correctness is what human kind deserves. In fact I'm getting a little tired seeing these artists drawing on white paper. Why do they never use black paper? Or yellow paper for that matter?

The whole time I was watching this I was dreading the end of the video and scrolling down because we're in the bubble wrap era and white upperclass SJW are getting ready to be offended on behalf of other people again.
The entire point of caricature is to find details of the face and heavily exaggerate them to a goofy degree, it wasn't a problem for you in the last videos why is it now?

reply

To all of those complaining-
Look at his art style on many of his pieces. He has a super cartoony and exaggerated style. Don't think it is this drawing being singled out because she's a woman, or because of her race. It is not offensive. Just because a few features are exaggerated for the sake of his style does NOT mean he is being offensive in any way shape or form.

reply

This is really racially insensitive. Truth. If you can't find thoughtful ways to approach subjects that are in the racial minority you have my permission to skip them. You are getting complaints because you did a racist, horrible, offensive job. Also, this sensitivity your fans complain about. was created by white privilege's insensitivity.

Brilliant work! Caricaturists have my undying respect in that they are able to -GOOFY-UP- a person's face yet still make it absolutely recognizable as that person's face. This is an excellent example of that. VERY well done! I get -IT-!

Holy crap! Do not read the comments. LFMF
Racist idiots who see everything as racist are even more racist than the openly racist idiots the racist idiots are complaining about.

Nice explanation and finishing of the caricature. If I saw this drawing I'm a comic or cartoon, I would have instantly thought of Whoopi Goldberg.

-Too dark too soon. - lol The story of my life. to be honest, I don't practice enough.
Thanks for all of the wonderful content.

Very nice work! Keep drawing how you see the face. It's sad to me that people can dismiss great artistry because they feel it's -racist-.
