The kind of ideal in Linework that Proko is talking about in terms of looseness can be practiced by gliding through the strokes, and lifting off where you want the line to end, this not only tapers the line and helps add flexible dynamic bends and pulls to it, but it also allows you to control and vary lightness once you become better at it. I do think many people aren't really aware that your pencil does not have to be on the line upon ending it, and that may have been because of how we have been ingrained to write while in school.
as Proko states: loosen up. :, but also don't be afraid to lift off your strokes like an airplane coming off the landing strip.

Great video as always Proko.
I'm no expert when it comes to anatomy but. maybe this student that received the critique should assimilate those muscle connections to -origin- and insertion-, for me at least it was much easier to understand.

I-ve got both the figure drawing and anatomy course but I-ve never gotten much further than the gesture drawings because I get overwhelmed lol. I-ve gotten really good at gesture drawing though XD

Hey mate, i recommend you tu use blue color to trace over the black drawings, the red merges with the black and is kind of hard to distinguish - love your videos, great stuff

Line and colour. I think the line can not be understated. When I study paintings of old masters, I zoom right into the line to see how they use it.
