Very clear and concise! A helpful follow up would be to portray the same actor /character in poses and expressions that don-t match the reference - because poster design usually requires new images that don-t already exist as photos.

I was skeptical about this because I would expect the thumbnail to be a bit more photorealistic but this video was actually very useful for the purpose of achieving likeness so big thumbs up from me!

Well Chris is mistaken. Drew has retired and no longer makes posters. And designed posters are not -still a thing-. Occasionally we get some specialised ones. But really it is Photoshop all way.

It'll be interesting to interview Chris, and how he got super good and get into big boy companies, stuff like -did he strictly study art for 10 hours every single day- or something.

I really like the way the process is broken up: 1- Primary Shapes, 2- Secondary Shapes, 3- Detail Shapes. It-s clear and simple, and you can take each step on its own. Thanks Chris!

Thanks for this! I learned more about Portrait drawing from this video than I did in all the portrait classes I took over the years.
