general psa about petco's animals. just, be careful. I dont know a ton about the fish they carry, but from experience their reptiles and amphibians are 100% sourced from animal mills and are terribly abused. They dont even tell you what their care needs TRULY are.
Petco is generally fine for in store products, especially dogs and cats, but exotics and fish they make a lot of money on ensuring the animals you buy will die and you'll want to get it replaced. These creatures live a lot longer than advertised.

The pond area looks so nice and relaxing, ya'll are doing such a good job with the homestead! Ya'll should be so proud!
Also, have a question, could you do a video or a short about steralizing soil? I just heard about it, but I've never seen anyone do it!

If you look at the composition of the most sought after soil type sandy loam it is roughly seventy percent sand clay can be permanently modified with enough sand, maybe not on a large scale, but certainly in a flower or garden bed or two

Opening the bag they are shipped in instantly releases all the CO2 in the bag, causing the ammonia to spike and making the water toxic for the fish. You should always temperature acclimate with the bag closed.

Those ornamental grasses you have planted can get quite unruly and are invasive in various areas of California. They also self populate even in cultivated landscaping. Everything else looks great!

Tip for making hard soil easy to dig. Soak well, wait til the next day, dig. 10x easier. Don't dig too soon though because it will be too muddy and/or sticky and will compact too much when walked on.

Have you guys heard of gypsum? It works great for breaking up clay and makes water soak-in WAYYYYY Better its amazing for clay i would give it a try ifi were you. Just a tip

Petco and PetSmart is the worst though. Majority of pet stores only care about profit and never the care of these animals. But especially these big chain ones.

I just purchased the heirloom beet gourmet mix and the mild mix microgreens. I am very excited to see them grow. The packaging is beautiful
