Subscribe to Epic Urban Homestead: The day is FINALLY here. I will be moving from my small front yard urban garden to 13, 0000 square feet of empty space. a completely blank canvas to build the future of Epic Gardening. I'm calling it the Epic Urban Homestead and will STILL be showcasing small space urban gardening techniques, so don't worry. I'll also be getting chickens, working with more fruit trees and shrubs, and doing in-ground beds, amongst other things. I have all of you to thank for helping this dream of mine become possible - without you all following along my gardening journey and learning along with me, this WOULD NOT be possible. Thank you so much and I can only hope to pay it forward with some truly epic content. Keep growing, Kevin

WOW WOW WOW! I haven't been watching for awhile. maybe since I've let up on the garden a bit, but BIG Congratulations, Kevin! I ended up watching yesterday's video on Things to Plant for Fall to get ideas. then moved to your Watering tips because I know I haven't been watering well (one of the first videos I started watching when I got into gardening earlier this year) But that Hoselink looks like a gamechanger! I have been groaning and griping to myself because of how hard it feels like to water with my long, heavy, and kinky hose that I feel guilty hubby kind of just bought, because our other hose was leaky. Anyway, all in good time. But so very happy for you! You have already worked so much on your garden and land! You are amazing! May God continue to bless your hands and passionate work!

Congrats! Middle of the front yard I would love a glass greenhouse in the middle. Lots flowers and definitely chickens. the back shed it's good for storing tools. also would make a compost bin somewhere. brake down some walls in the kitchen and add a patio that leads to the yard. great spot for breakfast and coffee outdoor space like that, private. looking at the yard.

Super congrats, I am beyond excited for you. I would love to see more gardening and chicken coop, and love to see a greenhouse for micro greens! So amazing also some more fruit trees, and on a side note your living your best life and I love your videos trying to do the same in the east bay, Martinez California.

Congratulations on your new home. Love that you stayed in San Diego; I am a native who grew up in Chula Vista and a living in Vista now. I just bought one of your Birdies and am about ready to start some seeds. I have been most grateful for your generous teachings.

Do you grow peas? I love my snap pea plant but I should have added a trellis. I am hoping I can start a spaghetti squash plant earlier in the year next season. I also want to add blueberries and raspeberries next year but we would have to do them in containers

Very exciting. Ill be following you in this journey. I really want to see Before you execute anything what your long term goals are and how long in the future youre planning. How many people to feed, what youre growing for and for how long.

2 thoughts: A) I wish I could find a copy of you but in my zone--zone 3 to 4. B) The walnut tree (if that's what it is) may inhibit growing of other stuff. Definitely check it out, I think I heard something about this, but I may be wrong.

You put out good content man. You deserve it. You might have a video on this already, but a vid on what you use to keep insects off of your food would be great. I don't want to use pesticides, but struggling to find natural alternatives

You didn't say anything about how you are going to irrigate or how the rain water moves through your property. I think you need a plan for that too. Do you have water restrictions? Is your water city water? well water? expensive?

WOW, congratulations. That's an awesome piece land. I'm all the way in South Africa truly enjoy watching your enthusiasm. One day I hope to have my own homestead and grow masses of vegetables. All the best going forward.

Congrats. San Diego houses are not cheap. This must all be the result of your hard work. I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous as someone else living in socal, but I guess your sucess could be an inspiration.

In the US this may be a typical sized house, but in urban areas of Indonesia, that is HUUUUGE. Please grow some aquaponics with catfish and tilapia. And some quails for eating the kitchen scraps.

Congrats on ur new digs. Now u need a nice big puppy to watch over your property & keep those nasty skunks away. If u get a rescue from Pitbulls & parolees u could do the perfect crossover show.

How exciting! I just started following you not too long ago and have been loving your videos. So excited to see what you turn this land into! Best wishes from North Crackalaky!
