My sister and I were talking about the sub pod system because I'm interested in getting into keeping worms, but she brought up the fact that it gets so cold in our zone during the winter. I mentioned to her that there are holes in the sides to allow the worms to move into the surrounding soil, but her concern is will they return to the sub pod in the warmer months, or will they continue to stay in the sub pod during the winter as long as more material is being added? I remember you doing a video on the system, but I don't remember if you touched at all on the feasibility of using it in colder climates.

I got an Idea! Come out to my place in the high desert and do a show on a my homestead, start from nothing with almost no money and very little water! haha I Have a lot of insight into how not to do things and the critters that will eat you out of house and home! I'm still going to make it work though I'm only 3 months in! Would love to have your opinion on what I should be doing! It has been a tough road so far but I'm tougher! The Lonely homesteader!

It is inspiring. Unfortunately Ive been on the opposite of your journey. I sold my home on 1 acre, with my lovely garden. Heartbreaking! And moved to a condo with shared space all covered in gravel, and controlled by the hoa. So all my plants are in pots. Im living vicariously through you for now until Im able to get my hands in the dirt again. Thanks for the updated tour. Best of luck!

Oh no I'm seeing this video so late haha. I love how everything looks! Just wondering for the laundry/shower water that goes into the garden, can you use typical soaps for showers and laundry or would that hurt the plants? Super curious! I love the idea of reusing water for the garden!

Too bad when he was showing his stacked thoughts and how much he could get in one area he didnt show us how he did it so we can do it and it be stable and solid looking like his so we know it wouldnt fall over in our plants if we try to figure it out

I seen somewhere. Where they research Gray water. and they wanted to know if it was either good for you. our bad you. and the result was it is not good for you. Unless you are using organic soaps that might be safe.

So now I have this sort of weird pear cherry type of tomato that quite honestly doesn't taste that good lmaoo too funny. But it's the weird stuff in life that makes things beautiful!

I saw you have a Subpod! My master gardener friend gave me a great tip- I use hydrated coconut coir layered on top of the new food I put it. Totally eliminated the pesky flies!

Have you thought of raising your own fish in a good sized pond in the backyard? That would be amazing if you could come up with a good sized pond that you could also swim in.

I'm trying SO hard not to be jealous! I'd kill to have that much land. That would be a quick quarter mil here so way out of reach. BUT- it gives me something to aim for!

How big is your lot? You're doing an incredible job. Anybody can easily tell that you love planting & gardening. It's so well organized too. Congratulations, Mr. Kevin.

Have you try to plant CHAYOTE? It's a beautiful vine that if plant in January will give you fruit around September, also known as Asian Pear, is delicious!

I was wondering sense you use your bath water to irrigate your fruit trees what kind of shampoo and body soap do you use that must be safe for the plants?

A big mish mash. not attractive front. Sorry.
Does not reflect your gardening skill. I put my birdies on side of house. would never put metal out front.
